Yep, top band. I went to Madstock at Finsbury Park back in '96. As soon 'One Step Beyond' started, I tripped over and got crushed by hundreds of hobnail boots. And I lost my sovereign ring during the pandemonium. Support acts were Squeeze (brilliant) and Mike Flowers Pops.

Anyway, I didn't even have a sofa to sleep on. I left Thamesmead and made for the coast. I slept inside bus shelters and wheelie bins and on the beach when the weather was clement enough. Nine months I was homeless, and yet, to this day, I still can't explain why. Weird times.

I saw them in Glasgow and I also met Carl from the band in London as my mate knows him. He introduced himself as, "hi I'm Carl from Madness" crazy bastard!
