Is it time for Bruce to go?

I'm certain he didn't, but he got there in the end and that's all I'm really bothered about.
I am grateful to my Rt Hon friend for the clarification. For the record, that we have found our most effective formation - regardless of whose idea it was - is all I'm bothered about, too. Both Robertson and Odubajo are more suited to the wing-back role than full back.

He finally listened to the social media morons, hissy fitters and bed wetters and switched to a 3-5-2, let's hope he listens to the social media morons, hissy fitters and bed wetters rather more often.

Thanks. <ok>

No he did not. The fact you think he did is laughable.

Nothing wrong with having a plan B.

However It will be a very sad day when he does listen to those types.

Thanks. <ok>

What - by going back to a system he first in introduced a few years ago when he got us promoted from the Championship - when all the social media morons, hissy fitters and bed wetters were saying it was rubbish and would never work? Thank goodness Steve Bruce doesn't listen to them at all!!

Correct. ^^^^ this. Most of the social media morons more than likely don't even go to games.

Seems like you can't have a sensible discussion about the suitability of a manager without someone trying to make it personal.

Do you think people who are frustrated with Bruce don't want him to succeed?
Do you think if we lose the next game those people will be happy?

I would love it if Bruce could start getting the team playing in a positive way, but I won't come on here insulting everyone who supports him if we lose the next game.

Steve Bruce is the man to get us back to the PL. Nobody else can or would. But for errors by certain players we would be at least 4 points better off and top of the league. Errors cannot be blamed on any manager. I am all for a sensible discussion however the constant "Bruce Out" by the same few on here and social morons beggars belief. Funny how they stayed quiet after Tuesday though.

I'm willing to bet he took no notice of you at all.

I bet that you would be correct. <ok>

Unfortunately Craig, there ARE people who are frustrated with Bruce and do NOT want him to succeed, and yes, if we lost they'd be happy because they'd then be justified in their opinions. Sadly, there ARE people who regardless of how we do will want him to go. We could get promoted after not losing another game all season and they'd be calling for him to go before we started again in the PL.

They are on this very forum, so not sure why anyone would try to deny that.

Correct and Agreed ^^^^ this. <ok>

Bit of an overstatement, how do you know?

Of course he should go. He's been ****e for more than a season now. Why give him till Xmas and if we're mid table then sack him? He should have gone at the end of last seasons' debacle (if not before). Leaving it until Xmas will be too late. If we don't bounce back this season then we can forget it. For whatever reason, he's lost it, and doesn't seem to have a clue how to get it back. I don't much care who else is available; I just can't stomach more of Bruce's approach. It's not the losses, it's the whole manner of our performances.

As Bruce's signings were mentioned, let's have a think about them:
- Moses -> in isolation, a decent signing. However, seems to have totally ****ed up Elmo. I don't think Bruce knows how to play them both in the same side.
- Clucas -> our new LB! FFS. A youngish lad, with some potential, but should be on the bench at best while he gets to grips with another jump in demands. Robertson came in looking like a future PL star; rather than develop him, Bruce seems to have broken him
- Hayden -> a young lad who should be used sparingly as he gradually adjusts to mens football and the CCC
- Maloney -> coming up 33. Already decided himself he was past his best, hence drifting off to USA before Bruce hands him a lifeline. Lo and behold, now injured.
- Akpom -> see Hayden above. Was Bruce really expecting him to be our main man upfront (or was that honour for his £10 mill flop).
- Diomande -> a total punt on a player who has never played outside of Norway, bar a failed attempt to make it in Belarus or somewhere.
- Taylor -> Who? Reputedly a decent player. Another one who is lower PL level never mind CCC. Appears Bruce doesn't know what to do with him either.

Never mind. Snodgrass is back in 3 months time. Our worst signing ever, £7mill for someone who the world knew had knackered knees, by his own admission, but Bruce still signed him.

The one ray of light is that Livermore will hopefully be back in a month or so. You know, the one that Bruce now admits he let down when he knew something wasn't right.

Bruce has to go now, before it's too late.
This thread always makes me chuckle but this is a top top post.

If it wasn't so loooooong someone, probably Chazz, would have it as their signature.

In defence of Driff there were certain elements of truth in that post at the time it was posted, the performances were gash so it's a bit cruel to be highlighting now. I forgive you Driff, and I saw much of what you were seeing. <ok>

Steve has listened to people on here who play football computer games, taken on board their wisdom gained in getting their UEFA TV coaching badges, and he's done what was necessary. However he shouldn't get too much credit as in training he only parrots what he's first read on not606.

There was more than 59 before, since the thread started it has slowly gone down.

I always said if the performances didn't improve quickly, he should go. We've since won four back-to-back league games without conceding a single goal and are through to the Quarter Finals of the League Cup. Credit to Bruce, I was wrong in thinking he couldn't turn it around.
