The goals from Cardiff for you for anyone that hasn't seen em. http://www.skysports.com/football/cardiff-vs-hull-city/report/339607?
The Vines should work. Are you on FB? Join the Hull City Aus group, I make an effort to post all highlights in there that I can.
Sorry about that BMB. I'm in Jordan. I use a hide IP site to use my sky sports and stuff, it costs me about £4.50 a month but if ya don't need it that much than OK. I would be lost without it out here. FYI this is the one I use. https://www.privateinternetaccess.c...BQ98zMB5LHyNglOTXZByZaQHqWBPEy14LAaAqQL8P8HAQ
Up to you. The group provides pretty good info on games, and good discussion. Also links to streams/radio when available.
I was very, very close to flying over, but the sheer cost was a bit too much to gamble on watching us win. I think watching us go down the way we did would have been so hard to stomach in one sense.
It was Groundhog day for me as I was also at my only other Cup Final in 1966. As soon as we went 2-0 up I knew the ending!
There was a great deal of optimism at the KC when the team sheet was announced. Rightly so, the 3-5-2 covers for our full-backs defensive frailties and allows the three in the middle much more time and space to create. Despite us soaking up pressure for large parts of the game, we did still attack when we got the opportunity and the overall performance was infinitely better than the last two. Let's hope Brucey sticks with this formation now.
I've been really puzzled why folk have attacked any suggestion that 3-5-2 was the way to go; the players let go and those brought in just screamed for it's use. Will Bruce be surprised at it's success; does he think it's not an attacking shape, like some on here? A bit of quality from Diame and Hernandez shone through. This squad really should not struggle to dominate.
It suits everyone, Diame, Huddlestone and Clucas made an excellent midfield three, Robertson and Odubajo are far more effective when they've got additional defensive cover and Aluko and Hernandez look a far better partnership up front. Apart from Bruce's utterly ridiculous piling in to some handbags that were nothing to do with him and Robertson's equally ridiculous lashing out when he was already on a yellow, it was a very good all round team performance. The only issue now, is what we do with Maloney when he returns, we could really do with him for set pieces, but he doesn't have an obvious role in a 3-5-2, unless he replaces Clucas.
I thought we would lose, too, even when we were 2-0 up. I did think that if Gibbs hadn't headed off the line then 3-0 would have been beyond Arsenal.
I can see him slipping into Clucas's role. It would mean a bit of an attacking trio in midfield, but what the hell, we need to go at teams a bit more.
One of the things you need to drive for promotion is an option, not just for injuries, but for rest and tactical response. Maloney is an intelligent player who can and will adapt to instruction; both he and Diame will (or should) be used to mix it about in midfield, creating the penetration we've lacked for so long. I think we should be pleased with the application Hernandez is showing. Once we get a regular shape and from it some rhythm and confidence, we should step-up in terms of performance and dominance. Will we get the consistency from Steve Bruce that we have lacked for a very long time; who knows?
