From reading some of the comments on here there seems to have been quite a difference in perceptions of our performance between Radio Wales/Sky (positive) and Humberside (downbeat and critical). I'll wait till I see the Tiger Player replay to form my own opinion, but according to Burns/Swann they were all over us for most of the game except the first and last 10 minutes and we were very disjointed till Elmo came on. Will be interested to read what those at the match thought. Thought Hernandez was excellent on both goals, taking out two defenders on the first to give Diame a free shot, and his very good chest trap and shot placement from a narrow angle on the second. Worked hard too. Well done Abel.
There's a vine of both goals, I think Diame's goal is on page 21 with Hernandez's a couple back from there!

Off topic, but has anyone seen Luke Shaw's leg break in the PSV-Man Utd match? ****ing nasty, hope he recovers as soon as.
As it seems most on here are going on radio reports only, I'll try and give a a bit of a summary. Watched the beam back at the KC, over 600 went in total, decent turnout. Was a bit weird watching a game without sound in a quiet room full of people, but better than not seeing it at all. We started really brightly. The first 5 minutes produced more attacking threat and excitement than the Charlton & Brighton games combined. There was some great combination play, particularly between Aluko & Diame, and Clucas seemed much more confident on the ball. Took the lead early doors, element of fortune with the ball dropping kindly to Diame but it was coming with the way we were going forward. Felt we had them at that point and was a little disappointed by how deep we dropped, but away at a decent side, they're always going to come into it. They didn't have much guile or creativity. Most of the time they hit it long and looked to feed off Jones. He won a lot but we dealt with the second ball well. They had a ****load of corners, largely down Moses' side, he over-committed a little at times. Second goal was brilliant, Aluko carrying the ball forward skilfully as he did all game, before Diame played the kind of pass Hernandez clearly thrives off, and he took the chance brilliantly. Saw the game out okay, although I was a little disappointed after getting 90/1 on Diame 1st goal, 2-1 City... Overall, far, far, better. 3-5-2 was infinitely more effective, and Aluko gave us real pace, invention and drive going forwards. Only negatives from the night; Bruce and Robertson both losing their heads when there was absolutely no need to. Robertson was lucky to stay on the pitch, kicked out right in front of the fourth official as the ref blew for the end of the first half, far worse than what Ramirez did vs Spurs last season, and he was already on a yellow. Also heard some bad news regarding Snodgrass, his situation isn't looking promising at all.
You can't always play well and win and sometimes you have to properly graft to earn those points. Playing well comes with confidence, you can't just turn it on. By the sound of it we played miles better than Brighton. We played with a better formation, were in the game from the off, competed with Cardiff, created better chances, had some shots on goal, and kept a clean sheet. So on the whole miles better than Brighton. Massive pluses for me. I don't expect us to play total football under Bruce, nor do i expect the opposition not to have any shots on our goal, or have any possession of their own. ****in hell! It's City, not Barcelona. People on here need to stop these audacious claims we'll smash everyone and win the league at a canter. Hopefully, Brighton & Charlton were the results to bring City back to reality. Getting back to winning ways & keeping a clean sheet away from home A win on saturday would be fantastic.
Look at wrong angle of foot bet that smarted a bit, although in my day a bit of deep heat would have sorted that out till half time at least please log in to view this image
Aye that looks a really nasty break. Double fracture. I'm sure we would see less injuries of this nature if they stopped using bladed studs, they hold the foot in the ground whereas a traditional rounded stud would probably move in the ground. I didn't think there was any malice in the tackle either. He'll be a big loss for club and country. Hope he gets well quickly.
Of topic but remember all that nonsense from the Brentford fans on their forum about how amazing they were and how they were going to be automatically promoted while we were going to be relegated? Wonder if they still feel that way tied for the 3rd worst point total in the league.
Just got back in. What a great win. Thought Odabajo and Diame were great and AH took is goal well. Downside all those corners we conceded particularly with KJ playing. Its brilliant to see us winning away again and all the banter. Beam back Beam back give us a wave one of the better and repeatable ones. Off to bed now.
