Redbirds 63% possession, 3 shots on target.
City 37% possession, 5 shots on target.

Scan the first few pages of this thread and check out the negative comments. I was at Brighton, and we were ****e, but I still expect City will be - at worst - in the play-offs at the end of the season. 7 games in, 1 point off 2nd place, but there are still those crying Bruce Out! If you have supported the club for more than thirty/forty years as I have, surely the experience has granted us the perspective to know that the club is in a good place?

Forgive me if I'm wrong, but I don't remember one single person saying Charlton were any good when they beat City.

I never said people did. I implied that we didn't get beaten by a great team and should have competed better. Diame is obviously fitter now, and as I said earlier we need him to keep fit. Huddlestone isn't up to much without someone who can make the midfield active.

Just watching the second goal again, it's a lovely pass, but how terrible was the defending?! He just watched Abel run by him and didn't seem interested at all.

Ecuele Manga, I thinking was.

The early goal was a huge help and hopefully it encourages Bruce to get his players playing from the start in games like this rather than sitting back too much.

He got lucky the knives are still ready. Tactically naive clueless cant coach forwards Sunderland fans were right all along nowt but injured players. Its all there you've just got to look hard enough.

Lets just hope the biggest moaners on here turn up on Saturday and actually see a game for themself

What was wrong with playing this formation before? Don't you think it was a tad obvious it played to strengths? Let's hope ye smug **** keeps ignoring poor selections and weird substitutions

Possession can - and often does - mean sod all. It's what you do with the possession that counts. A team can pass the ball around the back four for 10 minutes and get nowhere - except have impressive possession stats. Great 3 points tonight - remember Cardiff were unbeaten this season thus far. SB showed he can change tactics and personnel and managed to find a classic away winning performance. Bring on the dramas
