Wes Brown getting slung out of a club in Yarm last night.

Now people talk about the drinking culture and rotten core.

I've been told the notorious piss heads are O'Shea Brown Cattermole Johnson and Fletcher. The common denominator 'The Old guard'. How many managers have that group seen off?

Wickham Bardsley and Sessegnon were bad as well apparently but thankfully they've been moved on.

Should we cut our losses on them all and clear the decks in order to move on?

I agree about the drinking culture and I know I'm going off topic I was at Villa on Sat and was disgusted at the way our fans behaved in the ground before the game im all for the singing and chanting and I like a drink as much as anyone but when it gets to throwing beer and behaving like lunatics its out of order there were kids and older women in that area enough said it's an embarrassment to the club

So do you think players should be tee-total from when the season starts to when it finishes?

If they are true professionals then yes.

You won't see ronaldo or messi thrown out of a club for being pissed up. The very best players don't touch alcohol.

P.s. I'm not sure that is brown, neither am I sure that's a bouncer

I don't see why not.

They are meant to be professional athletes in peak condition. Especially 4 games in to a new season. I suppose most like the lifestlye more than the game.

Tee-total is a bit extreme though, but what concerns me is, as a group of blokes with more expendable income than most of us will ever know, going out for sole purpose of having a drink, it is not just going to be one or two quiet ones is it?

100% yes

Where I work, im not allowed to touch any alcohol.. I get tested, and if i blow anything over a 0.00, i am sacked. Fair enough, I work in some dangerous places, but there are jobs out there like that, and I believe this should be one of them that requires 100% commitment to no alcohol. Ok, Xmas/Birthday/Anniversary have a couple of glasses, but getting blind in a club a day or two before a match....? Nae chance.

When can you have a drink then mate?

I think while the season is running players should not drink to excess. A glass of wine or 2 once a week or 1 pint after the game fair enough. BUT falling out of night clubs pissed up should be an instant 6 month wage fine. Players would soon stop if that was the case.
