I'd be happy with Nolan as long as we don't play him up top. We're too nice as a team and he will definitely change that
mentioned before in this thread about a my in laws who are west ham through and through, season ticket holders and travel the country following hem, they have said for the last 18 months injuries and age have slowed him down, and he is now a liability, this from lads who have watched him week in week out and who worshiped the ground he walked on for his desire to win. We seem to be getting a mobile midfield now Thudd is on the bench (and dare I say likely to be on his way out), just don`t personally think he is the answer, Meyler at this level can be our `hard` man.
There is no way we will get bentley, gayle or vydra, all too expensive fpr us We will get the polish keeper for next to nothing as 2/3 choice keeper. We will get nolan if hudd or diame go (omly way to free up the wages). Big guess will be whether jela replacement is a current bench warmer somewhere, an umheard of from abroad or a loanee
remember him looking good at newcastle ten + years ago too, didn`t realise he is 34 but having said that he has been around a long while (edit) seems i got the wrong lua lua .. saw the goal celebration and thought it was the same one... oooops
We won't be signing him as a 2nd or 3rd choice keeper. If he comes he'll be pressing Mcgregor for a place in the 1st team. One more mistake from AM and it could be his last.
He probably did play well, for one game, but with all due respect think I`ll listen to lads who watched west ham and have done for the past 30 odd seasons and seen him play live every game, seems they may be able to make a more reasoned judgement, specially given that they had up to last season been singing his praises.
wondering if Brucie has had a look at Paddy Madden, seems to score for fun, playing and scoring well at Scunny, has a good track record, only 25yrs old, six footer, and probably wouldn`t break the bank
