That was one of the best defensive displays I have seen from a Newcastle team in years, inculding against Man Utd last week. Arsenal could only score aginst 10 men via a wicked deflection off Coloccini. Mbemba was quality, Wijnaldum was very good, Krul was immense! Very good performance despite the loss! And I agree, Robbie Savage is a total c&%t! Had to mute the commnentary a good few times!

I agree but we still lost and we should have list every game in my opinion.

It was a red card cause the red gave one. The laws are open to interpretation, so I think we can appeal and see if someone else feels differently. The main point to take is we played with courage for 75 mins and limited the damage.

yeah, the same with any sport where the rules are open to interpretation, the problem I have with 4th officials and their video playback is tackles always look 10x more vicious in slow-mo. I doubt it'll be overturned as they'll always back the refs decision.

Dont' agree with that at all. I'm not watching the game and haven't seen the incident. If I'm trying to trap a ball though, I'll bring it down and cushion it with the top of my boot, I won't try and stamp on it like I'm a 4 year old

The game was over after the red but to keep to one goal is encouraging and that was a ****ing deflection.

Maybe but as far as I'm concerned we have put in two phenomenal performances, one good performance (Saints) and one poor game against Swansea. Pre-season I had us down for 4 defeats. The difference in attitude from the players on the pitch and therefore ability is so much better than last season it is unbelievable. We had 4 points from 5 games at the start of the 02-03 season. Give it time, we'll come good. I'd even be prepared to put money on us finishing top 10 come end of season!

There were some big performances today and I'm happy with how we played. Arsenal players rolled around like little bitches on and off the ball. I now understand why they get called cheats. Their behaviour at times was embarassing.

It was another **** performance in which the the red card masks just how pathetic it was playing out until it arrived.

Its not as uf we were even in the game with eleven players.

We are lucky marriner didn't give a stonewall penalty and send off Thauvin.

We are ****e before the sending off and should gave conceeded a pen.

We will lose the next three for certain and more than likely be bottom of the league if not already.

Absolutely ****e so far and yes foul play counts overall you cant just say we did well other than being filthy.

Time will occur no matter what, however the future isn't written so i can only comment on what i can see or have seen.

Southampton actually should have won by perhaps two goals, Swansea looked like Barcelona, man united was a draw we frankly couldn't believe and today we lost in 16 minutes

I probably am wrong about relegation, however its more likely than top half I assure you.

We don't keep possession, don't create much,spend every game chasing shadows and slide around on our arses making fouls too much.
