I did say in the match thread that I'm surprised no big club has bid for Coleman, but didn't realise PSG were reading.

I'm surprised no big club has bid for Charlie Adam.

Deigo Forlan was OK at utd (10 league goals in 3 seasons), moves to Villarreal and scores 54 goals in 106 games but I know each time Soldado scores, we will be reminded that he does have talent.

Sorry, I know how it must sound when a rival posts it. It just always amazes me when this happens with players (Forlan as you say), is it that the football is so different, don't they like the food, is language the main problem.
Does this kind of thing happen so much in other country's or is it just England.

When I departed Old Trafford on the 1st day of the season, I did so at the same time as Jonny Evans and also Gary Pallister. Both were mobbed by autograph hunters. Pallister stopped for photos and signed every request. Evans ignored everyone. The guy is an average footballer with an less than average personality.

Doesn't make sense on paper, does it?

Football pitch, football, run, shoot, score. Football should be a simple game, but it happens often that we forget how players simply can't adapt, especially in England.

It's the same with home and away. In theory it should make absolutely no difference, same 11 on each side, but results show that teams feed off home supporters and surroundings and win more at home.

For a long time Spanish players had a reputation for failing to adapt to Serie A, which has only turned around in the last few seasons.

Mitrovic seems a similar character to ballotelli, either does something brilliant or has a head off, McLaren needs to get in his ear and calm him down, that was not necessary even though it was a goon.

I like the look of Mitrovic, actually. Probably a good signing for Newcastle in the long run, if he can keep his head a bit better.
Lots of parallels with Shearer, including his dangerous play.

It was brainless! Right under Mariner's nose - blatant red card, he could have broken the guy's leg quite easily!

Shearer, at least, had a brain...

There is no doubt that he is quality, but to do that after 16 minutes and basically cost his team the match is just plain stupid, if I was on his team I'd be fuming

Shearer did stupid **** regularly too, he just got away with it because he was England captain.
His Neil Lennon assault was the highlight of that particular run of crap.

I suppose he got agitated occasionally, but generally he was a lot sneakier than that. A crafty elbow here, a knee left in there, etc....
