Talking of bikes, here's a song based on Pink Floyd's "Bike", which I have always thought should be used as the basis for a football chant: We've got Van Dijk You can watch him if you like He's quite tall, got lots of hair And does things that make him look good. We'll sell him to you when we want but we just signed him. He's the kind of player that fits in with our world, We'll give him anything, everything if he'll stay here.
Chim chim-in-ney chim chim-in-ney Virgil Van Dijk Played for the best team in Scotland last night Chim chim-in-ney chim chim-in-ney Now that they're out He's joining the Saints, there can now be no doubt
Beddy, there are times when the voice of reason is also the killjoy. Have a little innocent fun with it before Everton sign him.
Not much inspiration from our friends north of the border. To the tune of the "feeling hot hot hot" song
That's absolutely brilliant Chilco. I sang it in my head using Syd Barrett's voice and it worked pretty much flawlessly first time.
Thanks TSS! On reflection, I'd like to change the fifth line to: "You'd buy him off us if you could but we just signed him." Then the internal rhyme comes back into play. Dear old Syd.
I'm not ITK, but no. PL way more valuable a prospect than Europa, especially as he came from a once-CL team.
I would say not. VVD will use this as a display club. He knows he'll get lots of minutes on the pitch. If he plays well, he can treble his wages at the next level, if he plays phenomenally he'll be off to a top five club and buying solid gold cars and TVs. That is his aim. He doesn't give two monkeys about the facilities, the direction of the club, the players or fans, this is a stepping stone to a world of mega-money and better, classier, porno-stars.
