Talking of bikes, here's a song based on Pink Floyd's "Bike", which I have always thought should be used as the basis for a football chant:

We've got Van Dijk
You can watch him if you like

That's absolutely brilliant Chilco. I sang it in my head using Syd Barrett's voice and it worked pretty much flawlessly first time. :)

Thanks TSS! On reflection, I'd like to change the fifth line to:

"You'd buy him off us if you could but we just signed him."

Then the internal rhyme comes back into play. Dear old Syd.

I would say not.

VVD will use this as a display club. He knows he'll get lots of minutes on the pitch. If he plays well, he can treble his wages at the next level, if he plays phenomenally he'll be off to a top five club and buying solid gold cars and TVs.

That is his aim. He doesn't give two monkeys about the facilities, the direction of the club, the players or fans, this is a stepping stone to a world of mega-money and better, classier, porno-stars.
