I think that would my answer. It also raises a doubt in my mind that if the attitude is that he`ll come here if nobody else wants him, and nobody else wants him, is he really that good? Highly likely it`s the agent messing about more than anything.

It's coz Dick is only here for a year. He knows him and will play under him but doesn't want to commit his future to us when he has no idea who his manager will be next year or what league we'll be in. Understandable, imo.
