Not sure he will need international clearance if he is a British national. Might be a bit tight getting the normal paperwork in though, think weekend will be his first involvement
Do you need international clearance if you're a footballer from the UK? Or is it to do with where you're signing from?
Try looking at the OP - it's an up-to-date summary of transfer activity in this window so far. Welcome to the free-for-all
International clearance is needed when a player moves from one FA to another. Doesn't matter where he's from.
Have to admit Tuckin, it's a long time since I kept tabs on supermodels. Also admit I had to google her. Jean Shrimpton was my era - in my dreams. You've got excellent taste.
I think that's all of our players been linked with someone now then. Only Meyler , that no sod wants!
Ironic, then, that Meyler (the one that no-one else wants) is the one being offered the new contract. Not saying he shouldn't, but I would have thought getting Davies, Elmo, Aluko, and even Robertson tied up longer term would take precedence, even if it just meant we got a fee when we got rid. By Jan, 3 of those could fix themselves up elsewhere.
I think he only signed for 3 years when he joined. Granted, he would still have another year following this one.
I think I meant Mapleton! http://www.theguardian.com/environment/gallery/2014/jun/24/east-riding-coastal-erosion-in-pictures
Can't read that link for some reason Peter. I remember Mablethorpe. Just north of Skegness. Worked there at Butlins just before I sloped off to Leeds in the early 60's. Suspect housing there is in the doldrums also. Where's Mapleton ? I was born in Hornsea...which suffered bad coastal erosion when I was a kid.
Mapleton is near Hornsea. The coastal erosion is getting worse. I think house prices go up over a long period of time but footballers contracts are relatively short so we should look at house prices over a shorter term too. I think the other point is that, except for goalkeepers, you are not limited to one player at a time - you still need a sub though - so it is more reasonable to have many more than one in your possession - unlike houses.
Finally got to the link & the pics. Spent a lot of time at Spurn Point....in fact was last there about 5 years ago. Many happy childhood memories recalled. Mablethorpe was also a rather strange, quite famous artist in the states - a close friend of Patty Smith, the singer & poet/author. Hung around with Warhol & his cronies in New York. Smith wrote an interesting book about their relationship. Weird it was.
