I don't know the pub, I expect it was before my time. I only have a vague recollection of being at those games with my Dad. Now here's my reason for being so impressed with that goal you scored. It may sound daft, but the only time lv'e ever been 'Starstruck' was at the very first game at the KC. I was just roaming around the west stand concourse, just taking it all in, when I saw Chris Chilton and friends/family. It was quite embarrassing really, because he clearly saw me all agog, I know my jaw dropped, because he was looking right at me and said 'Hi' in what seemed to me a really posh accent. I've seen quite a lot of famous people in my time, but I've never felt that same reaction. Maybe it was just a sort of a childhood worship thing, I don't know. This is a strange post l know, but there it is.
The Golden ball was his pub in the wincolmelee area. Went there a few times when Waggy did an outside bar at a motorbike rally I was involved in organising.
We'll be signing Gray. He wants to come here. He'll be nervous about the whole situation, but I think he'll have been given some...erm...advice...
David Burns @bbcburnsy 2m2 minutes agoPeterborough, England I think there's something in the @MailSport story linking Jelavic @HullCity with @NorwichCityFC . Whether it comes to fruition? #hcafc This might help...
. Hope not, rather keep a premier league striker and try and keep him here than some bad boy who had one decent season in the championship. Come on Burnley sign him up
To be honest I just don't want Gray here. I think he is over rated and after this purple patch in his career will just end up an average championship striker. At the moment we don't need him. If something happens before deadline day then maybe we should do something, but I'd rather invest that money in centre mid.
Think it's a risk. £9million is steep - but Harry Kane was a "mediocre Championship striker" a few years back, and look at him now.
