Why do you say that? We've made an offer, if Gray forces the issue, it will go through. As Buckingham said, players usually get what they want in the end. Brentford would not want to be stuck with a pissed off player for half a season.
I don't understand this notion of selling before buying. If you do that then the best players will be gone. It's like selling your house, living on the street for a few weeks while you find a new house. Buy the new house, then you can comfortably sell your old house before the settlement of the new place, and then you move in. Same with jobs, line up a new job, then quit. Same with players, line up the new player, then sell the old player. I'd be going to Norwich offering them Jela at a cut-price deal, since we only need a couple more million and his wages off the books to afford Gray.
