interesting comments from SB, suggesting other then bid for Maloney no other bids to bring anyone in or sell anyone, also suggested that Gayle may be too much money and that we couldnt match Gray`s valuation, seemed to indicate that he couldn`t bring anyone else in until he generated some more cash. So there we have it, seems the transfer funds pocketed for those that have left have gone back into either paying debts off or lining pockets

His money and if it is used to pay debts then fair enough, but i am sure some of those debts would possibly be what we still owe on some previous transfers pretty sure that OLM guy could shed more concrete info regarding that though.

And i think we have a team strong enough to win promotion from this league and once the transfer window closes they will knuckle down and get the job done.

I think we're right to use the £20m recouped to either reduce the debt or break even this season.

Said it for a number of seasons, we need to blood a couple of youth team players, and hope to get a bite off a Premier League club taking them on a +£5m deal. Has to be the way forward for us in the short-mid term

Only if we retain what we have as eluded to by Bruce, until the window shuts then we won`t know what we have to play with.

As much as I would like city to sign gray , I just don't see us signing a forward with aluko akpom jelavic and Hernandez, what would be the point at least one of the latter two would have to go

I can see us signing a new keeper and nobody else. We will get to January in 2nd, sign a half decent striker who manages 6 goals and we get promoted. Our top goalscorer is Aluko with 8. Everybody is pissed off that Gray scored 23 but Brizzle finish 14th. We scrape through, finish 2nd and our top scorer is Aluko with 13 and then Elmo on 6. Everybody moans.

We are signing Maloney.

Is Sterling worth 49m, is Stones worth 30m+, was Shane Long worth 15m.

The answer to all is no. But sometimes you have to pay over the odds to get the player you want.

Everyone wants a goalscorrer and they are few and far between. We spent over the odds on Hernandez who hadn't scored a goal in English football. We could spend less and get a player who has.

No disrespect to Bristol City. But it's embarrassing for us if he signs for them over us.
No disrespect to Bristol City but we already have 4 strikers at the club who would not sign for them.

Chances that we sell another player this window 99% . Worth the risk to bring in Gray on that basis?

Can't see us starting the season without one of the following leaving. On a depressing deadline day.

Dawson, Elmo, Huddlestone, Davies, Robertson, Hernandez and Jelavic.
