I can only hope your 135 other posts have been slightly more scintillating. Do you find that people around you nod off? Perhaps it's because you are a ****ing dullard, but they are too kind to point that out to you.
Our kid is creaming himself over a potential loan signing. Blow your socks off signing. When it is firmed up I will post more details.
Really? I've not been this excited since Linton brown announced the earth shattering news we were getting LED advertising boards
Im not buying that. That was said after the crunch talks weeks ago, since then we've sold Chester, Brady & N'Doye.. we've already got "money in the pot" to spend on players. Im guessing that the Allams arnt willing to pay what Brentford want and thats fair enough I guess. Its just a shame as we clearly highlighted Gray as our main striker target this summer and it looks like we're going to miss out.
What puzzles me is this: If Gray is such a marvel as some posters on here are claiming then why are Brentford letting him go? Perhaps it's a bit like the Shane Long situation with us - the money being offered is so silly that they'd be daft to turn it down. I think we'd be daft to pay the money being asked for him. If it was my money I certainly wouldn't be interested. at that price.
I think it is fairly clear that the reason we are missing out on Gray is that when we put in the bids either Jelavic or Hernandez seems to be heading out. That hasn't happened, and I suspect the Allams don't want to be left with Jelavic, Hernanadez as well as Gray on the payroll come the end of the transfer window.
To be honest I never understand it either. If Brentford are suffering such a massive blow with Bristol City coming in for him, why not just say he's not for sale? He's clearly valuable for them, has basically won them all 4 of their points off his own boot - came on to score the first goal for them against Ipswich to start the fight back then had a hand in all four against Bristol City.
Also Norwich are reportedly in for Jela. Why not put a last bid in for Gray, then offer Norwich Jela for a reduced price, in order to get his wages off our books?
blow ur socks of eh sounds great so whos this fantastic signing for hull fc then? i guess youll tell us when newsnow (our kid) post something what would they do on here without us eh karl
That is quite possibly the reason, But what happens in a few days/weeks if we lose Jela & Hernandez then? All our main striker targets could be gone and we're left with the scraps? Or even worse, Bruce takes another punt on an unproven foreign player.. For me personally I wanted Gray to sign for us, purely because he's English & proven in this division. Also looks a hell of a striker, aggressive, intelligent, good finisher... when did City last have someone like that? Oh well, If its not meant to be its not meant to be, we move on and hopefully Bruce can pull something out of the bag.
Hopefully Hudd has flashbacks to the last time he played against Fulham at the KC and lifts to that level. Would be nice.
The problem for us is if we get lumbered with players who don't really want to stay here, after having got rid of players like Rosenior, McShane and Harper who probably did want to keep here.
