Austin signed for them in the C'ship, so perhaps didn't need assurances in his contract that he was guaranteed to be able to leave upon relegation.

Elmohamady wasn't signed in the PL - yet he's rumoured to be one of the 5/6 at City with a buy out clause.

I don't want a 49 page discussion on it before you start adding replies. It just seems another area with which we've ****ed up on. Where we don't have control over players leaving.

Elmohamady was signed on a permanent when we were promoted.

Why the hell are we chasing Maloney at 32 years of age. Wouldn't we be better off going for an ambitious, hungry, pacy, 24 year old, who we can get plenty of years out of, or nice tidy profit, if they perform above expectations.

Probably because e's exactly the sort of player we need and his age is obviously reflected in his fee.

Going forward I'd rather tell players to **** off if they want these clauses included. It's mostly the players fault if the club is relegated anyway - they have massively under performed. You very rarely hear about these clauses - but it seems every ****er at our club has one. If they don't want relegation they should perhaps look at performing better instead of easy way out contractual clauses.

I suppose when we said to their agents if we are relegated there's a 50% pay cut, they said that's fine but we are going to need a buy out clause or you can **** off and he's off somewhere else. Seems fair enough to me, the players arent hull city fans and want to play at the highest level earning as much as they can

Bruce: Hull City striker Abel Hernandez will 'knuckle down' in Championship...

http://www.hulldailymail.co.uk/Bruc...dez-knuckle/story-27609486-detail/story.html?

I think he has the talent to be brilliant for us if we can give him the service he needs, it was up to Bruce to make sure he got that service and Bruce failed to deliver. He is the one I have wanted to stay, but we need that creative midfielder asap. If he does what I believe he is capable of then I would expect him to be bought in January.
