Prospects mate, exactly. He's developed no end, I've watched every minute he's played at Old Trafford and countless other performances and not only has he been beefed up and given more confidence, he's become commanding in the area towards the end of last season, one of the few boxes he was left to tick. Nobody is denying he was good at Atletico Madrid, but to assume he'd have naturally progressed to that level is purely speculative.

At one point, I recall you saying Mignolet would be off to Barca, so not everything works out how you expect it to. I'm not picking at your opinions there mate, I have made bold statements before that have turned out flatter than Keira Knightley's chest.

I'm not disputing United have improved him mate, and probably accelerated it too, but he was going to get there.

Do I agree the way he's repaid United is bullshit? Aye, course I do, you get the impression it's his missus who misses Spain rather than him.

Like two peas on an ironing board, lol.

Of course it is mate, he's whipped.

Have United ever forced a player to stay against their will? Rooney maybe but he was being badly advised and we saw through that. We'd let De Gea go, we just want our investment to bear fruit. If we pursued Ramos the way they pursue De Gea, they'd be crying to the Spanish government by now.

Of course, but it would have been far easier for us to bin him and fetch in another 'keeper.

He had promise when we signed him, but the Premier League shook the life out of him, everybody made him a laughing stock. As he started his progress, I remember arguing on here with the lad from the Newcastle board, JPF, he was telling me I couldn't mention David De Gea in the same sentence as Simon Mignolet <doh> The hard work and effort he put in, along with the coaching, investment and trust we've shown him, have made him the best.

Now he's telling us, 'Sorry, I'm happy to sit here and collect my wages and leave for nothing in 12 months, I owe you **** all'... sign the contract David, we won't make you stay against your will, but let us collect the £50m fee that you're worth.

Until he signs, I'm happy for him to be treated like a dog, that's exactly what he's doing to my club.
I agree with what your saying mate although that last paragraph...
It's a business at the end of the day, clubs will offload players at the snap of the fingers.. Say you've got a long serving player who's the fan favourite, the club signs an up and coming player therefore shifts the fan favourite.. Does happen mate. Ruthless business, Ruthless Tez <laugh><ok>

I don't mind him going mate, he obviously wants to go to Madrid, but he needs to go the right way if he wants to remain a United legend.

Ronaldo would never, in a million years have left Manchester in this fashion, because he was a good boy, with respect and loyalty.

De Gea can **** off, ****ing pigeon.

Imagine being so desperate to leave that you'd actually go to play for Rafa ****ing Benitez. Jesus.

This smacks of desperation tbh as my guess it's now let's see who is a available rather than who Dick really wanted. I didn't see Borini being on that list? Did anyone else?

That said, he's a decent player and did well for us when here last. If it's true (still a big if for me) and he comes and replicates that form, plays well and scores goals then it will be a success story. If he comes with the attitude I don't really want to be here then it's not.

My big problem is M'Vila, Borini, and Januzaj as loan deals will mean another summer total rebuild yet again in 2016. Hardly laying down firm foundations and this has been our problem since we returned to the EPL.

However, we need new quality faces, especially with Johnsons injury and these represent this.

I'd be happy if Dembele follows with permanent deal and a striker Like Austin too. We would be in a far better place with that 4 and loans.
If we do get borini and januzai I fear that will be it <bubbly>

I think it's good business until January if you get those two in on top of the ones you've already recruited.
Yeh mate that's what I mean if these two arrive I feel that's our business is finished. <bubbly>

I hear you mate no arguments there <ok> But not every player leaves in the right way.. It's the nature of the Business ;)

I'm happy with this.

It could be a replacement for AJ who's injured and then God knows what happens to his trial.

A player who'll improve us and everyone takes a hissy fit. They weren't complaining when he smashed it into the top corner vs the Mags.

Borini is capable of playing anywhere in a front 3 or behind the striker - Doesn;t that mean Lens can play somewhere else in the front 3/4 or do both him and Borini HAVE to play in the same position because that makes your issue with Congerton less personal and more about football?

His best position is left of front 3 as he doesn't have the attributes to play up top, he'snot technically good enough ttobe an attacking center mid and he isn't effective on the right as all he's generally good at is cutting in onto his right foot. (Mention the Wembleygoal and I'll raise you Altidore turning on a six pence putting 3 Chelsea defenders on their arses and firing it into the bottom corner.

Talk of moving our big money buy Lens out of his best position to accommodate a loaned Borini is nonsensical in my opinion as is the thought of us even being interested in him.

If we were wanting a right winger Aarron Lennon is available . Nathan Dyer has lost his place at Swansea to Ayew. Januzaj is linked with a move

We need rid of Graham and a striker in. Defoe, Fletcher and Austin/Rhodes/Sow would be a good selection.

Borini isn't a striker as such.

I wouldn't be particularly displeased with Borini now.

Yes he completely pied us and Poyet off last year. But wouldn't you have if you were playing in a foreign country for one of the top top teams and after proving yourself on loan with a lesser team? The desperation of Poyet to bag his man exacerbated the issue. No meant no, at £1mil £2mil or £14mil. No big deal happens all the time. Bear in mind Liverpool also just slipped up in the title chase. Circumstances change, people change.

Still theres better out there.

As a footballer and nothing else, absolutely Borini would be worth having for the right money. That's all that matters I suppose.

Gave us a few golden moments the lad.
