There's a lot of factors surrounding the Pedro loan. One of the rumours going around Old Trafford on Saturday was that United are desperate to do a deal with Barca for Pedro and want De Gea to go to Barca as a stipulation of the deal, to spite Real Madrid. Barca don't seem to need a keeper though, although I'd laugh if that did happen. I can see why you've signed Borini mate, for sure, I just don't like the boy. As for Adnan, it depends where he wants to go mate, there could be 12 teams in for him on loan for all I know. Van Gaal has great relations with many managers and several managers have connections at United, Hughes, McClaren, Advocaat for example. If we're looking for a team who plays pass and move, he could go to Swansea or Everton. Like I said, I prefer him to go to Sunderland, because of the players you've listed there, but I'd keep him well away from players like Johnson and Fletcher!
This Dan king is the sun reporter and has reported some good facts.he hasn't said its borini the other bloke roper75 mentioned him then everyone assumed it was Dan king who has previously been spot on.im so confused where has the borini link come from ???????
We had a player with pace once, his name was Obertan. I think you'll look better with Borini in a false 9, Defoe in the 10. Lens right, Adnan Left (he can defend well by the way) then Larsson, Cattermole and M'Vila in midfield. Neither wide man providing cross after cross, because your strikers are smaller, bring Fletcher on for Borini/Defoe to change it up if you're drawing blanks.
The thing with borini is I couldn't fault his work rate, and he had huge balls to take some of those penalties last year that were so vital However last summer just leaves me feeling bitter about it all Not sure what to feel like.
No, we've sort of accepted Real and Barca as being our big brothers, we are powerless to stop players leaving for Madrid historically. Now we're richer than both of them though, we call the ****ing shots now. If worst comes to worst, Real will get De Gea in July next year after he's spent an entire year excluded from first team training and having not kicked a ball for his club in an entire season. They're just bitter because Ronnie will never call that place 'Home'.
please log in to view this image Just look at him taking the piss out of the mags, he just belongs here! I have to say I'm going to be gutted if this turns out to be bull **** now like
Let'sbring a player in on loan who plays in the same pposition as our big money signing. Sounds like Congerton logic to me.
Can understand where the club is coming from, although what sort of message does that send out to 'future players'? Will players get cold feet signing for utd? Didn't your other goalie just get shipped out too.. Not nitpicking mate, just I reckon some players might have reservations signing in the future with LVG's philosophy.. For the record I'm all for it, but footballers are a bunch of pussys..
Borini is capable of playing anywhere in a front 3 or behind the striker - Doesn;t that mean Lens can play somewhere else in the front 3/4 or do both him and Borini HAVE to play in the same position because that makes your issue with Congerton less personal and more about football?
David De Gea was a pile of **** when we signed him, he was a nervous wreck and one of the worst £18m signings in the history of football. Since then, we have stuck by him and he's developed into (in my opinion) the best goalkeeper in the world. So he owes us nothing? We made him, if he's not prepared to play fair, then I'm happy for us to ruin him. **** other players, if they don't want to play for us, we'll find ones that do.
So you's sign pile of turds for £18m Disagree with the 'we made him' the hard work has to be put in between both parties IMO..
Of course, but it would have been far easier for us to bin him and fetch in another 'keeper. He had promise when we signed him, but the Premier League shook the life out of him, everybody made him a laughing stock. As he started his progress, I remember arguing on here with the lad from the Newcastle board, JPF, he was telling me I couldn't mention David De Gea in the same sentence as Simon Mignolet The hard work and effort he put in, along with the coaching, investment and trust we've shown him, have made him the best. Now he's telling us, 'Sorry, I'm happy to sit here and collect my wages and leave for nothing in 12 months, I owe you **** all'... sign the contract David, we won't make you stay against your will, but let us collect the £50m fee that you're worth. Until he signs, I'm happy for him to be treated like a dog, that's exactly what he's doing to my club.
Not really fair that, De Gea was superb in that season and a half at Atletico and really it was nerves and adjustment that he needed, that's why the fee was £18million. My thoughts are De Gea would have developed just as far had he remained at Atletico, although playing for United will certainly have made him stronger mentally and probably to an extent physically too. This wasn't a no hoper made good, this was one of the best young prospects in the world helped along.
This smacks of desperation tbh as my guess it's now let's see who is a available rather than who Dick really wanted. I didn't see Borini being on that list? Did anyone else? That said, he's a decent player and did well for us when here last. If it's true (still a big if for me) and he comes and replicates that form, plays well and scores goals then it will be a success story. If he comes with the attitude I don't really want to be here then it's not. My big problem is M'Vila, Borini, and Januzaj as loan deals will mean another summer total rebuild yet again in 2016. Hardly laying down firm foundations and this has been our problem since we returned to the EPL. However, we need new quality faces, especially with Johnsons injury and these represent this. I'd be happy if Dembele follows with permanent deal and a striker Like Austin too. We would be in a far better place with that 4 and loans.
Prospects mate, exactly. He's developed no end, I've watched every minute he's played at Old Trafford and countless other performances and not only has he been beefed up and given more confidence, he's become commanding in the area towards the end of last season, one of the few boxes he was left to tick. Nobody is denying he was good at Atletico Madrid, but to assume he'd have naturally progressed to that level is purely speculative. At one point, I recall you saying Mignolet would be off to Barca, so not everything works out how you expect it to. I'm not picking at your opinions there mate, I have made bold statements before that have turned out flatter than Keira Knightley's chest.
