I've done that, the ****er tried to make me hand over all kinds of things to him, tax disc, phone, driving licence, threatened to report it as a theft to the police. He was a right cock, I told him to **** off and drove off.
That was my Brother you @rsewipe! He told me that story and said the bloke was a spitting image of Steve Bruce and was always picking his nose. I'll let him know who you are you cad!
Brentford play hardball over Gray Brentford have rejected a third bid from Hull City for striker Andre Gray. MirrorSport revealed last week that the Tigers had two offers rebuffed for the former Luton frontman. Gray was left out of the side for last night’s Capital One Cup drubbing against Oxford as speculation about his future rumbles on. Hull made another attempt to land the unsettled 24-year-old, understood to be LESS than previously offered, which has been knocked back by the Bees, who are holding out for around £7million up front with a further £2m in add ons. Meanwhile, Brentford have made a £2.1m bid for Auxerre forward Sebastian Haller as they scour the market for a possible replacement. http://www.mirror.co.uk/sport/football/transfer-news/transfer-news-live-man-united-6236976 We've gone back with a lower bid, how the hell is that supposed to work?
I suppose the argument is that his head is messed up so he's worth less to them now. I don't like the idea. We seem to be willing to pay around what they want so we should pay up and stop messing about.
Well that sounds sensible. What the **** are we doing? For ****s' sake, just given them what they want. We aren't going to get him for less, we've ****ed them about too much for that.
Could have involved more guaranteed/up front, but a lower top-end final total (including add-ons). Sometimes cash in hand makes the difference (see Roy Carroll, 1997).
Maybe bollock as it is the Mirror, or they have tried to meet their overall figured of £9m, but reduced the initial fee, and increased the add ons
Oh for ****'S SAKE! What the frig are we fannying about at? I don't think our hierarchy are that bothered.
There has to be more to it than has been stated in that article, even Ehab isn't daft enough to have a bid rejected, then come back with a lower one.
Would you like to change some money? With the pound so strong right now it costs 1.5 Euro to buy a pound. Which makes 8 million Euro about 5.33 million pound, a lot short of what it will cost to get Gray.
And Gray is costing £7m, so only £1.67m for Gray but N'Doye has also gone and that's not including the saving on wages
I agree - doesnt make sense. I accept we might be worse at this sort of negotiation than other clubs but I'm not totally convinced. We are all focussed on our club so its annoying when it all takes an age, but wonder if we followed another club whether we would realise they operate in the same way - look at Norwich landing Brady over such a long time and then playing him at left back. And we have landed far more significant deals since the Allams took over than we ever did before. Their approach to the name change might have hacked us all off but not sure that makes them poor negotiators when it comes to transfers. I guess time will tell on this one - but if we sign him there will be people who will say we have paid too much and if we don't there will be people who will say we should have paid up. Glad its not my money.
If Gray is the striker Bruce wants, pay them what they want. Gray 9m Odubajo 3.5m Clucas 1.5m 14m Ince 5m Chester 8m Brady 7m N'doye 2m 22m we're still quids in, and thats before selling hernandez and jelavic.. as many have said.. just pay the money or move onto the next target. we're probably going to pay up eventually, so why not get it over with?
Dijkhuizen concerned about the impact of Gray's Griffin Park departure... "He was training today," the Bees boss said after the 4-0 Capital One Cup humbling at home to Oxford. "I don't want to risk him. Maybe he leaves, maybe he'll play on Saturday. I don't know. "Of course we are looking for a replacement - we have to prepare for that. But, as you know, strikers are very difficult and very expensive. I think when he leaves we'll have a big problem." Asked about Burnley's reported interest in the B£9million forward, Dijkhuizen said: "That is news for me, Burnley. I didn't know. The club has the asking price and when a club pays the price he could be gone. It is difficult, especially in England. You never know" https://www.clubcall.com/brentford/...dijkhuizen-1777719.html?#sthash.RKsu8qic.dpuf
