Completely agree with that. If you've got something to say, say it behind closed doors otherwise it just undermines the confidence and spirit at the club. As much as people vilify Wenger for his 'I didn't see it' responses, this is exactly the right thing to say to the media as it gives them nothing to try and undermine you with. I've no doubt Wenger scalds his players and staff in private if needed, but you'd never see him doing that in public.
It's fairly typical from Maureen though, using a piss poor excuse to try and shift the blame away from himself after a crap result. I'm looking forward to more of his hissy fits this season as I think there are going to be many

You won one game against an Arsenal side that is showing signs that it will probably struggle, this season, that is all. Remember, that you couldn't negotiate your way past the European equivalent of Bury. Celebrate, by all means, but keep things in perspective, that is all I am asking.
