Don't like the idea of Pardew (or anyone for that matter) wanting Fonte. And as for Jose, it is not sufficient to say you have responsibilities and a contract, you must swear undying love, state that you will never leave Southampton whilst you have breath in your body, and promise you would sooner eat garibaldi biscuits

Found an article linking Fonte with Liverpool and Palace (though I feel dirty even posting it). The article even mentions that we have a CB problem, so not sure why we would sell another one. It suggests he is available for the right price, presumably if we sign Van Dyke, but would we sell? I suppose he is at the age for a last move, but selling him would suggest that money is everything as it wouldn't be for a footballing reason. Not reassured by his recent change of agent.
