Nah! Can't agree with you there. He was signed to score goals and 4 was nowhere near 'just enough'!

 

Our other striker that season got one more than him i think! Geo top scored for us but i dont think he got that many.

 

A football player scoring one more goal than Cousin couldn't possibly be classed as a "STRIKER"!

Brentford apparently bidding £4m+ for some French U21 striker playing for Utrecht.....if so, although it was on that HITC site which can be full of ****e, that would pretty much indicate they are resigned to losing Gray.

 

One thing I will say about Cousin, I not that long ago watched on tv a repeat of the Man Utd 4-3 game and he was absolutely ****ing outstanding. I didnt really notice on the day but he ran their defence absolutely ragged on his own. If you dont believe me watch it yourself. Of course I know 1 - or maybe 2 if you include Emirates - games doesnt mean he was a good signing but he showed he could do it at the highest level. Actually thinking about it wasnt that something we were warned about by Rangers fans - that he only turned it on in the big games?

 

Probably accepted by descendants of that guy who sold London Bridge to the Americans for a shilling

All I want is someone who can put the ball in the back of the net (for us) once every three of four games and I will bestow on him the title of "Striker"!

to be fair we've had a dearth of consistent strikers.. over the last 10 years only Jelavic, Fryatt, Windass, Campbell & Burgess have done the business over a season

 

In Spain at the moment and suffered mild concussion after an incident two nights ago hence the lack of posts. Come on City. Anything less than three points today will be a huge disappointment
