Van Gaal is setting de gea up as the pantomime villain in this..... Utd fans have known for 2 years real were the club who'd take De gea. ... has Utd not offered him deals before now?

When he refused why did you think he'd play like a hero until you decided what to do.

Man Utd are a bit ****ed though.

Van Gaal has alienated Valdes so he can't be used.

They can't sign a proper replacement before De Gea goes or Real's offer drops like a stone.

They can't play chicken with the bid because De Gea walks away for free and Man Utd have no time to buy.

I seem to remember Ronaldo signed another contract, some other top price player did the same, cant remember who it was though.

And they won't get Ramos in return once he's decided to sign that lovely new contract offer :)

Both had more than one year left. they signed the new deal because it included a release clause that would see them leave the following summer (plus a pay rise of course). why would De Gea do that when he can leave for free anyway? the pay rise will be covered by the signing on free with him being a free agent too.

Sounds like a lot of clutching here

If players are willing to move to barca to sit round til January why would de gea not sit on his hands.

What possible offering do you think Utd can make to de gea to sign a new contract even with a 20 Mil release?

Especially as van Gaal is actively pushing him out today which you ignore
