And the umpires have called it off for bad light. Oh well, at least the people who have tickets for tomorrow will see some play, and an England victory. And it gives Broad a chance of a ten-for as well.
Makes you wonder what could have happened had if a Lords Test had not been on the agenda for the Aussies as this the venue where they usually win in an Ashes series.
I never for one moment believed that England were that hopeless 18 months ago but with the key personnel now removed from the scene the English dressing room is obviously buzzing again, and Cook is playing and captaining the team with a greater degree of flexibility and imagination.
242-8, Stokes again. Please save one for Broad!
So much for us needing to bat again.Be interesting to see how this turns out. Could see us having to get a silly low score....scarcely worth putting your pads on for....though it would be nice to be the batsman to get the winning run. Or the Aussies could fold. Place your bets, gentlemen.
One more!I don't care who now, the coach has left the hotel and in thirty minutes I'll have to turn my phone off at the church.
Come on 2 more!
Come on....

Now to brace myself... I may not have mentioned, but one family at this wedding is Irish.... It's going to be a long day and night of drinking
(Although, quick update: coach driver had had a nightmare. We left the hotel 40 minutes ago to do about 12 miles. Instead of taking the A road to the church, he dropped on to the M25 and now we are stuck in crawling, first gear traffic. The service starts in 15 minutes and there are two coach loads of guests not there![]()
