Thanks for the invite over FD. Gone for the draw myself, as I wouldnt be surprised if home and away ends up even. For those who are travelling down, safe journey and enjoy the atmosphere at the KP cos it was (literally) rocking at the back end of last season.

You're quite welcome mate. I've gone with a Sunderland win but I always air on the side of optimism. A draw is quite probable unless we can really take advantage of your weaker midfield and boss it. Having not replaced Camb yet it would be a good time to take points off you before you've replaced him.

Good job with the match preview funky :emoticon-0148-yes:
I've gone for a Sunderland win in a bit of blind optimism, though my heads telling me it's a bore draw and last on match of the day.

I intend to fella, this is also on Roker Report, nearly 500 people have read it already, Every publication is a portfolio entry for my CV. Soon as I get moved I'll be setting about an access course to get me into sports journalism

Smashing thread Bri.

My best mate used to be news and sports editor at sun fm. (Very handy).
if you want any help on how he got into it.

Nice one Bri.

I share the cautious optimism of you and others - if we gel quickly and boss the midfield, a win. Otherwise hopefully at least a draw. Fooking come on....

P.S. An old mate of mine was editor of the racing post (Mirror Group). He left, as he hated the Mirror bullshit politics, but still must have some connections. I ain't seen him for a while, but was gonna try and hook up on my next trip to Blighty in September. **** knows if this would be of any use, but he might have some insights into good ways into the profession, freelance or otherwise.

I feel awesome about the start of the season - this just ices that cake!

One downside - My Dad was going to go but I have a gig in Scotland on the night and I invited him and my Mam - so he didn;t get tickets - turns out that can;t happen any more so he's now stuck not being able to go to the game and not being able to go to my gig on his Birthday!! Feel like a bit of a twat!

Hey ho - it's the start of the season - COME ONNNNNNNNNN!!!!!

Couldn't be happier about football being back, and both teams will probably think this ain't a bad game to start.

As it stands, and not knowing what team will go out there (mainly CB's...), I'm thinking a solid, more than acceptable 1-1 draw, but with Lens ability what I don't expect is more rudderless, unimaginative have an outlet there, and a fit Giacc.

Happy days, the butterflies are already starting.

Anticipation for what lies ahead, bring it on!!

Like reading the preview, well wroted lol :emoticon-0136-giggl

Any info would be greatly appreciated fella. Though I get the feeling I'll need to go back to school regardless.

Aye he did. Bloody good job he had. Was at it for years. Then all of a sudden he packed it in. He wanted to be a paramedic. Which he still is.

But i know he did media studies. I.ll get onto him once i get back to a laptop.
