Yorkshire post did say last week it was either both or none. I hope we're not throwing Oduabjo away because Brentford are being stubborn over Gray
They haven't trained with us yet, there's no way they'll be considered for Saturday, whatever happens.
I would to but 9 mill? 3.5 for Moses and 5.5 for Gray? At that price I'd just reject it and wait tell someone else came in.
City must be getting some encouragement from the Brentford end, SB is to long in the tooth to be ****ing about on a no hoper deal on the eve of a new season.
When used in the right context and infrequently it can be very funny if delivered well, but, just like irony, it is misunderstood and over used as amusing banter fodder.
Seems that way to me too. Quite a poker game this one. We must have a bottom line price for the pair. How far do you think we'll go before we abandon the idea ? Brentford, as a promoted club, must have a hell of a shopping list themselves given all their offloading so far. We may well be in the driving seat here.
They've been widely quoted as wanting £7m for Gray. Odubajo has a £3.5m release clause. So if that's to be believed £10.5m would get the pair. Our offer will seriously test their resolve. I imagine it will be rejected though
Im not buying that "Its both of them or neither of them" crap.. Bruce has said he's been watching Odubajo since 2013 when Orient played City in a cup game and said he should have signed him back then, since that game he's been keeping an eye on him. If Bruce likes him and feels he's right for us, it doesnt matter if we agree a deal for Gray. I cant see how the 2 deals are related other then them both being from Brentford.
Reading a Brentford forum early on, there was a mention in a couple of posting of player's being unhappy with the new regime and how Mark Warburton was treated.
The 'all or nothing' story came from the Yorkshire Post... Hull interest is dependent on double act staying in tandem Hull, however, are adamant that the bid is for both players and that any talks can only progress on the basis of the Yorkshire club being able to sign the striker and full-back. Sources in London have indicated that Brentford rate the two players in the £10m bracket. http://www.yorkshirepost.co.uk/spor...ent-on-double-act-staying-in-tandem-1-7386382 The YP stuff generally comes from the Allams, so I suspect this is the way Ehab's presented it.
