Between the **** load of fires and goat attacks, have you looked into how much it would cost to have your farm airlifted to another, less fiery, less goaty location?
And still 4th or 5th favourites to go up according to a sky promotion article, to be fair i didn't check when it was wrote but it was pretty recent.
Everyone - but careful saying that particular phrase around Castro - he may have a pop at you for using incorrect grammar.
They've made some good signings on paper to be fair, especially bellend who is a very good defender. But they're all from abroad, and as we now that's very risky business.
haha not sure what I was expecting. I didn't grab a gun so I clearly wasn't thinking that much about it being someone trying to steal it.
A few fans saying they'd be happy to sell him freeing up a DP spot, others saying he's done well for them just had a season interrupted by injuries. Personally I'd be happy with it, think he'd link midfield to attack well in a playmaker role, at least until Snodgrass returns anyway
He isn't really a DP spot caliber player when other clubs are pulling in people like Villa. When a DP player can have an infinite salary wanting a DP spot opened isn't necessarily a reflection on Maloney more a reflection on who they think they can pull in. So dont take it as an indication they think he isn't good.
I'm not that clued up on the MLS, but looking into their squad they certainly look one of the poorer sides. Maloney is on paper their best DP and that shows how far they are off other teams. If they have the financial backing I can definitely see them selling and bringing in a higher caliber of player as an upgrade. Only problem is their transfer window shuts on Thursday. I don't know if that means we can't sign him after that as ours is open, but it will definitely hinder our chances of landing him as Fire will have little to no time to get a replacement
The moderator on the Bees board is now talking about a 9 mill. offer (7+2) from us for Gray. I can find no source for this...probably just wishful thinking. As for their opinion of Hull City and the Allams this is the latest comment... "Listen, I've watched Hull (respect Pauly Paul but largely sh*t ole) go from a club on the brink where the fans were shoving faeces through Terry Dolans postbox and this was the bloke who mortgaged his own house to save them to Premiership. It was never going to last and now the crook in charge is trying to bail by using the name issue and Brucey will destroy them anyway if left in charge. This is a bloke who is universally respected by centre halfs as a bloke who used to put his body on the line, would drink his own pis* and entertain people all night with great stories and fight anyone who didn't agree. As a manager he's been a TV channels dream, always honest and decent but he's a disaster, his record is terrible and he has plenty of form for spending owners money on players who have given his defenders a hard time and regretting it later."
Their owner is a billionaire, well his business is worth billions and his wife is the daughter and heir of a billionaire. How much liquid capital he has I have no idea but he certainly makes Allam look like a beggar. I dont know why they suck or why they cant pull in major players. Im not an expert on Chicago by any means but their best player isnt on their DP list, their best player is Mike Magee who has been injured this season, he had 7 in 17 before his injury last season and 15 in 21 the season before that. Perhaps they need to move Maloney out of the DP spot to put Mike Magee back in it. Ill figure out if they can move a player outside their transfer window to a foreign club.
So he can be sold to us outside of the MLS Transfer Window. (III.) METHODS OF RELEASING PLAYERS (B) TRANSFERS AND LOANS An MLS player may be transferred or loaned at any time to a club outside the League (subject to that club’s Federation’s transfer window), and subject to the consent of the player. Upon loaning a player, Clubs will receive roster relief and budget space, subject to the terms of the loan.
I've just seen on Twitter that they can sell outside the window. They've been linked to Lukasz Piszczek from Dortmund who will definitely require a DP spot, however they face competition from a host of other MLS sides. I guess we'll find out if he's coming in the next couple of days, as I guess if no replacement is in by Thursday they won't sell
I don't know about that. There is no relegation in the MLS remember and they probably won't make the playoffs so there is no reason to require a replacement before Thursday or even this season. It's not abnormal for clubs to have less than 3 DP players either, also there is no bigger payment for finishing higher up the league. In fact finishing lower in the league gets them better draft picks so if I was them I'd dump people now.
