I wasn't bothered who won. I was out all day with the family, and didn't find out the result until the game had finished. When I read the write-up, it made me glad that I missed it, as it was a tedious game, by the sounds of things, with both sides trying to show who could park the bus the best.

I do reckon, however, that The Smug One will be smarting from this - especially after his "specialist in failure2 jibe - and he'll be looking to crucify Arsenal in the Prem, when the result really matters.

Given the bye that you've got for the first game, I'm not holding out too much hope.
They've had weeks of actual, competitive games to get up to speed and they're still ****ing ****.

They chucked a 2 goal lead away at home in the week to somebody called Astra Giurgiu. It doesn't look good for the Hammers. But it's a game we'll treat like any other

Real Madrid's Gareth Bale and Luka Modric will face former club Tottenham in a pre-season friendly on Tuesday and the pair posed for a picture with ex-Spurs team-mate Kyle Walker. Bale put thepicture on Instagram along with the message: "Will be something special for @lukam10 and me with @realmadrid, up against a few old faces @kylewalker2."

Now, you boys are going to see how a proper attacking side can take apart the world's best side.
<ok>

You'll try your best I'm sure but as usual we'll win comfortably in the end <ok>
I know that Man Utd fans are known for the fickle nature of their support, but you could have waited til your sig updated before switching to Real.

I'd rather be playing United now, when Van Gaal seems to have lost the plot, than later when they gather sufficient momentum to beat the likes of 'Pool and Arsenal.

Utd at O.T. Is a tough prospect for any side. I agree that I'd rather we had the game now, before their new players bed in properly, though.

If we can come away with a point, I'll count that as a result.

Bale has just smashed in a 20 yard strike to make it 2-0. <ok>

He must be so relieved he's still not playing for Spurs. As must Modric after Levy tried to kidnap and lock him up. Facing their former side today will act as a reminder of how their careers could have ended up.

Any other irrelevant games you want to get hyped up about, Piskie? <laugh>

Yeah of course it is. Easy to brush it off when you lose I suppose ....
It's easy to brush off if you win too, unless you're a bit clueless.

In the 08/9 season we were battering everyone in pre-season, including beating Dortmund 3-0 and Roma 5-0 in the last two games of it.
We went on to pick up our famous 2 points from 8 games and sacked Ramos.
The following season we were all over the place, lost to Celtic and South China and finished 4th.

And ? Spurs have no consistency. Tell us something we don't already know <ok>

You're doing a great job of sounding like you don't care <laugh>
