Lambert's a good player and he'll score goals when used correctly. He's not a super sub.

Rodgers signed him without seeming to have a plan for how to use him. Arguably he signed him simply because he is a Scouser.

Can you explain why he signed a player who blatantly didn't fit into any of Liverpool's formations/playing styles? I think it was a signing based on emotion rather than logic. He thought Lambert would be some kind of local boy super sub. I don't think Balotelli was a logical signing either, more like another example of Rodgers' massive ego and belief that he is some kind of Svengali man manager.

Agree with this. Unless it's some long drawn out transfer but even then if you started the process at the start of the summer it shows some degree of organisation.

I agree.
I was just trying to get the thread back on topic and take the heat out of the Mariomarathon of the previous few pages.
 
I think we've spent all we had. That's my opinion.

We will need another 2 windows to challenge I think.

I am hopeful we will look much more solid and maybe even sneak a final. Solidity is not just defence. I mean effort levels and manning up.

clyne and ibe - LFC's main men threat all day down right... nothing to cross too.

Coutinho.. off the pace slightly... wasteful per gillespie

Milner - poor enough

Gomez.. cocky ****.. talent out his ears. could get raped in prem doing some of what he's tried

lallana.. pretty anonymous and not effective

Ings.. not oing enough for me. no real threat there

Skertl and lovern... morecambe and wise? they are funny men.

Coutinho caught in possession because he has no options around him. Similar to when Suarez came in his first season and had to do everything.

2 man midfield of Henderson and Milner is NEVER going to work. Both are not good enough - they need quality around them.

i don't agree with henderson bottler but they haven't done anything and helsinki could pres sright onto the two clowns at the back.

I'm in jimmy's camp now [HASHTAG]#flipflopper[/HASHTAG].... this won't work as a systen this year at all.

but we still won't let in 60 goals... period.
