Chester must be up there with our best ever centre back? We've all got cult heroes like whittle, Ian goodison, mcshane etc. But in terms of quality he really is class.
Great defender, sad to see him go. Maguire can hopefully now step up and show us what he can do. He might end up being better than Chester.
I agree with people saying he could have done better, but you've got to say congratulations to the West Brom manager because he's seen what we've seen in him, ahead of managers from bigger clubs. Thank you and good luck James
Not an actual transfer rumour but was just thinking how he was decent for us when he played and looking at his profile on transfermarkt, he doesnt seem to be playing any games for Al Ahly (not sure if the league is still suspended) but his transfer value is only £560k, which I think is a steal should we loose any of our current strikers.
Chester is one of my favorite Hull players of past and present. I however believe that Maguire has potential to be even better and has something Gary Cahill about him. Cahill only signed for Chelsea around 3 years ago from Bolton at the age of 25/26. Maguire is currently 22 and both played for Sheff Utd. Just in case people thought my thoughts are completely laughable. If he is to progress then he needs to be started week in week out. Now Chester has gone we look likely to see that happen.
