We need to be very careful when sealing the deal in case there are sharks circling to steal him away from us. Hoping no one comes the raw prawn with us.
Nah! You've got it all wrong! That rumour's been sat Perched on Chris Ramsay's sofa for two weeks now
OK, now this thread has been completely hijacked with fish puns I thought this would be worth adding... Floundering Fish lets QPR get away Queens Park Rangers 2 (2) Ipswich1 (0) Queens Park Rangers, who let slip a two-goal interval lead at home to Ipswich last season and lost 4-2, hung on this time for their opening victory of the campaign. They scored their first goals in the process, and those efforts from Kevin Gallen and Martin Rowlands in the last nine minutes of the first half left Ipswich with too much to do during a rousing second period. "It was one of the best performances one of my teams have ever given," Rangers' manager Ian Holloway said. Even so, Ipswich could doubtless blame their defeat on Mark Fish's disappointing debut. The on-loan South African international looked vulnerable even before allowing Gallen the room to turn and score. Fish, nursing a knock on the head from a collision with Paul Furlong in the build-up to the second goal - volleyed in by Rowlands from Gareth Ainsworth's cross - failed to reappear after the interval. http://www.telegraph.co.uk/sport/football/2363522/Floundering-Fish-lets-QPR-get-away.html
I hope we've trawled the leagues for talent, before taking a dip in the sea on this Perch fella otherwise we'll truly be out of our depth
If he signs I just hope he puts his heart and sole into it, otherwise he has no plaice at Loftus Road
Obviously some deep sea trawling activities going on - I've heard of "twice cooked pork", but "thrice cooked perch"? Wigan prepare for third Perch offer By Louie Chandler on Jul 28, 2015 Championship, League 1, Queens Park Rangers, Transfers, Wigan Athletic please log in to view this image please log in to view this image Wigan Athletic are reportedly readying themselves for a third offer for captain James Perch from Queens Park Rangers, according to Wigan Today. The League One club are understood to have already rejected two offers from the London club, but they appear determined to get their man. But the now League One club are determined to receive their full valuation for the 29-year-old who only has one year remaining on his contract. Gary Caldwell is keen to re-build his squad this summer, and receiving the full fee for Perch could prove vital in doing so. The full-back has been voted Players’ Player of the Year for the two years he has been at the club after arriving from Newcastle in 2013. Despite being part of a relegated side, Perch’s consistent and high quality performances have obviously not gone unnoticed. http://the72.co.uk/32366/wigan-prepare-for-third-perch-offer-wafc-qpr/
We can't complain at them angling for a proper valuation, as that is exactly what we are doing this year. I wonder what he's worth? Anything over £2m seems high for a 29 year old RB in the last year of their contract at a League 1 club...
I have heard that our bid was 500K. Seems a little bit sting(ra)y! Hopefully, we'll give them what they want and get him in straight away. I think he is just what we need.
Pay them the proper price and get him in sharpish. The longer our defence gets used to playing with each other, the better
