If it's the lower age range then Man City can use him to make the requirement so yes, it would (could) matter
Really the most important thing to net is as of now they get 17 foreign players out of 25 plus as many u21s as they want. The new rules say 13 out of 25. In effect when lfc might name 19 total in the past this hg rule rarely mattered. Now it's getting tighter . If city only have 17 slots and even sterling doesnt count yet that says something no?
Ok, so Shaqiri ISN'T going to Stoke... http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/fo...rsuade-Xherdan-Shaqiri-Britannia-Stadium.html So just give Inter Borini, Balotelli and Markovic for him. yes, he's worth it.
In either set of rules, Sterling does count! Unless you mean he doesn't have to be named in the 25 man squad to play? If so, sort your wording out
Premier League Transfer gossip: Delph, Benteke & Karim Benzema With the transfer market now in full-flow, BBC Sport's David Ornstein gives us the inside track on the latest transfer stories in Gossip Column Extra. Aston Villa's Fabian Delph has apparently had a change of heart over his potential move to Manchester City. Christian Benteke looks set to become Brendan Rodgers' seventh summer signing at Liverpool. Are Arsenal set to land Real Madrid big-shot Karim Benzema? There's also news on Chelsea's interest in Everton's John Stones and a development in Sergio Ramos's likelihood of leaving the Bernabéu. Benteke, whose £32.5million release clause has been triggered by Liverpool, is thought to favour a club that can give him Champions League football - and that could cause a delay to his Anfield transfer going through. Belgium international Benteke is hoping one of the top four can offer him a platform on the biggest club stage of them all before he puts pen to paper with the Reds, who will play in the Europa League next season David Moyes is planning a sensational raid on Anfield for Liverpool outcast Fabio Borini. The former Everton and Manchester United manager, now at Real Sociedad, wants to raid his long-time rivals for the Italian misfit striker who is surplus to requirements at the Reds despite being Brendan Rodgers’ first signing in 2012 having previously played for the Ulsterman on loan at Swansea City. Christian Benteke's £32.5m move to Liverpool is a gamble... Brendan Rodgers can't afford another expensive error of judgement like Mario Balotelli Liverpool are set to meet Christian Benteke's £32.5m release clause Benteke's style of play doesn't seem to suit Brendan Rodgers' preference Rodgers sold targetman Andy Carroll in order to create a fluid frontline Liverpool boss failed in the transfer market with signing Mario Balotelli : http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-3165221/Christian-Benteke-s-32-5m-Liverpool-gamble-Brendan-Rodgers-t-afford-expensive-error-judgement-like-Mario-Balotelli.html#ixzz3gIRML58g
So when he saw the wage packet then The get him and they probably win the league It'd be brilliant if one of the others would offer £32m for him but none of them are mad enough. Only reason Utd were interested was to keep us interested, CL wont go near him. We'll even pay the air fair, please take him.
Things have been agreed between Liverpool and villa for transfer of benteke according to Sky. All that's left is a medical and personal terms. Sounds like could all be wrapped up in next few days
Roberts has signed for City. Wait and see how that pans out for him.... Prob loaned straight back out to champ club
How much has Roberts gone for? Was it the 11mil? That's a shed load of cash for a Championship player. Personally I know very little about him, any good?
Seen 11-12m 19 champ appearances but very highly rated. Guess 50% of that fee is on potential and 50% is on English tax
Quite astonishing really that someone with 19 appearances that has 'potential' could get a transfer for that amount. Shows how completely ****ed our league is to be honest. Mind you didn't utd pay mega money for Zaha when he was a Championship player? @Diego ?? I expect this to turn out similar, although Roberts probably won't ever get a game in Manchester.
Most all of it is English tax with only one year left on his deal. Do we think a tribunal would set a 11 Mil fee? Nope. They've seen interest in him, maybe from us, and moved with a **** tonne of cash. They have fabulous facilities. The question I have is he good enough to sit in their senior squad or go on loan and play? This goes for all kids going anywhere... the lack of a good standard at u21 level means kids need to skip the level nearly. If you had a choice of loan or u21 games what would you pick I guess
Anyone post the Metro latest muck. Illaramende bid increased to 13.8mil from 10mil Rafa apparently not impressed by the guy .... doubt much of this is real but it might be coming out of marca
To be fair Zaha had played over 100 games for Palace and been capped by England. The fee United paid was punchy (£10million with £5million in add ons which I very much doubt were triggered!) but a number of clubs were after him for a similar price so that was his valuation at the time. Shame that he turned out to be a lazy bastard. City's transfer policy so far this summer has been perplexing.
Yeah I guess the Zaha one was kind of expected. Whereas this Roberts one seems absolutely nuts to me. But Man City have been nuts in this window all round to be honest, can see them finishing 4th. Liverpool Chelsea Arsenal Man City Man Utd
Honestly as of now city look weakest of the 4. There's more outs and dead wood than ins. Chelsea are poking about, stones v Cahill for me isn't a bad move, falcao v Drogba. .. me. They will be strong Arsenal are already strong and rumours of strikers abound. Utd are going to be very strong but need 2 more players up front and cb. We've a shed load of dead wood to get rid off now too before we can see where we really are.
IF we could get rid of the deadwood, even replacing it with potential i can see a top 4 push/finish, finish depends on the players to be honest, but SHOULD have enough there for a decent challenge for top4. dont see it with what we have at mo, but may surprise us lol.
