If Stones signed Chelsea would have 2 promising but different centre backs on the bench and Stones as emergency RB... very strong!
Everyone is thinking of Stones and Terry's retirement. But what does everyone think of Cahill after Terry finishes??? He isnt strong enough to lead that central defence. Him and an inexperienced Stone is not going to happen imo. Cant see Mourhino planning for that combo.
I think Zouma has massive potential. I can see him being one of the best CB's in the world in his prime, if he progresses how he should.
Zouma and Stonea could be exciting, but I don't think Mourinho would risk it. I imagine Chelsea will sign a big top class CB to replace Terry next summer when he looks like might retire. Someone like Hummels or Varane for 30m
Forgot about Zouma but agree. In which case is Stones making the right move? I can see him wasting a few years there and eventually ending up at Spurs. Basically doing a Scott Parker.
Exactly. If he moves he's going for the money. Better off staying at a bottom half team and getting some good experience at defending, then go to Spurs in a few years to meet up with James McCarthy.
Stones is a real prospect - better to stay put, help Everton, learn and progress, then move on in a year or two. That will show his desire to repay faith shown in him and also his ambition when he does move on. Be nice to see a player with a bit of integrity.
Patrick Roberts - 18 year old forward from Fulham who has made 19 career appearences in the Championship... Handed in transfer request to force through an £11m move to City. Bets on what happens to him in the next 2/3 years. A - He plays 30 games this year, becomes a star and storms City to the title. B - He makes a few appearances this year before becoming more of a regular over the coming seasons C - he's shipped out on loan this year before making a name for himself at City next year. D - He's ship out on loan for next couple of years before making the odd appearance for City before being sold to a lower Prem club E - He never makes a first team appearance and ends up at some lower prem / higher championship club having wasted 3 yers of his career to earn 40k a year.
No not for 3 years. The wierdcthing is they can have 40 u21 foreign player in the prem but once they turn 21then it's limited
Not sure when the ruling changes. It was three years with a English or Welsh club between 18 & 21 years of age but it's changing to 15 & 18 years of age. He qualifies if the rules already changed.
