now going to get a lecture on how prem proven means nothing and Lallana/lovren being quoted numerous times!
To be honest my opinion is that Benteke will only do well at Liverpool if Rodgers leaves.
At Villa, a team that was at its best on the counter attack, the ball was constantly hoofed towards him exploting his ability to hold the ball up and bring the quick wide players into play.
I can't see us playing in a way that brings the best out of Benteke under Rodgers, not least because if we did it would most likely make Coutinho look as useless as he did when Lambert was the lone striker

Liverpool have made an offer to sign Zenit St. Petersburg striker Salomon Rondon, according to reports.
The Reds are searching for a top front man to top off their side following a raft of transfers in other areas.
Christian Benteke was a top target, but with the Belgian set to sign for Manchester United, reports say Liverpool have turned to Rondon and have now made him an offer.
It’s understood that the 25-year-old is studying the bid and is willing to change clubs this summer.
Rondon scored 20 goals in 36 matches last term for Zenit.

Benteke and Firmino added to our attack which takes a bit of pressure off Sturridge. I'm personally excited.

Rodgers must think he can use this guy well - it's been our top target since before the season ended.
Just back him! Half the time that's what it takes for a striker to get firing. if it goes tits up most of u get your wish and Brod gets sacked

I want at least big effort and work this year and look like a team again.
Once balotelli goes to add to johnsons disinterest, sterling's deliberate running away from goal and Gerrard little sulks all the bad will be gone and we start with players out to try and do something not see out time.

I agree with that- unacceptable, that scoreline. Happily, it was the one game I missed all season.
