Talksport linking you to Reus, where does that leave Coutinho and Firninho?
Not being funny, I am confused enough with how my own team stands at the moment and can't even guess at yours.

Wint happen, he turned down barca so can't see him coming unless he is the only player that actually thinks I'd go to LFC for first team rather than the best team in the world.

If if he came, and he won't, could play rues and Firmino up top with Coutinho behind.

    So forget Sturridge then?
See my problem at the moment is trying to fit Herrera, Mata, di Maria, Depay, Carrick, Blind and Schweinsteiger into the team

    Never fit is he?
That was the main reason we were so toothless last season- no alternative to him. He'll have to work at his fitness and then re-establish himself in the team (if we get a like-for-like replacement). With his record we have to assume the worst and set ourselves up as though he wasn't there.
No harm in a bit of redundancy as long as you can keep everyone reasonably content.

Just seems a bit harsh on a man that was half of the SaS goalfest the season before last.

Well if he comes back firing on all cylinders he'll obviously get back in. But as we can't rely on his fitness we have to have a strong alternative.
I'm afraid that injury will blight Sturridge's career indefinitely, given his track record.
    Shame for the guy.

Sturridge is totally totally crock, we should be looking for a new No.1 up top, Sturridge will have to prove himself again after last season, he's a liability on the fitness side, we bought him knowing this and knowing that the price reflected this which speaks volumes about the knock down prices mostly we've been looking for

If the decision making peeps at the club ****ing fail again to address the ****ing obvious probs up front then they all need starring roles in the next human centipede film ****as

He has gone for some super duper surgery that only America can perform, he will be fine.

The film sounds interesting though

To be honest somebody has to make a stand.

I am just a little surprised it is you lot with so much money at stake for a gifted yet unproven kid.

Unfortunately our new No. 1 will most likely be Benteke.

Squad depth.. and I don't think we can rely on Sturridge at the moment due to the issues with fitness. But... below in 4231 would work for us.

    Can Hendo
    Frimino Coutinho Rues
    Sturridge

Similar formation for you guys below... Blind at LB as even with 27 of them, he's still your best one weirdly.
    Carrick Herrera
    Depay Mata Di Maria
    Rooney

So dropping Herrera back would make the difference? midfielders are not static, they move around all the time
