Yet more ****e from you. Yet more smoke and mirrors trying to deflect attention from the issue. Rather than making **** up about what you think I would or wouldn't do, why not just critisize the people on here who wouldn't complain about an unethical sponsor as long as the price was right? I don't like gambling, I never have, I've seen the damage it can do. I hate that its socially acceptable in some circles. Cash converters are in the same league as payday loan companies for me too. I did not like either of those sponsors, I bought nothing with them on. The owners are doing the best they can in respect of attracting sponsorship. the Dalts comment about Apple just sums up how ****ing delusional some people are, who just like to snipe for the sake of it. Snarky little comments from our resident marketing expert who is only the right one in any arguments about marketing are also par for the course on here. I have fond memories of Flamingo Land, some recent discussions we had on here about it put me off a little, but now, actually, I might just pop in for a look over the summer. I'm a lot happier with this sponsor than the previous 2, thats for sure.
It's not a bad sponsor by any stretch, it's just not a global, or even national brand. I think that's part of the reason for the reaction, those local know Flamingo Land and recognise that while not a big brand it's not too bad. Most of the country and the media will never have heard of Flamingo land and therefore I can see why it's a pretty funny option if you don't know what it is. If some South Coast club started getting sponsored by 'Monkey World' we'd probably think it was hilarious whereas it would probably be acceptable to them
Sorry, I don't remember you speaking out and complaining about the Allams unethical partnering up with 12Bet? Did you? Our club has been marketed horrifically, an utter shambles in fact. If you'd read my comments you'd see at no point have I complained about the Flamingo Land sponsorship deal. I think it's a ****ty looking logo to put on the shirt but since we have a **** badge I wouldn't be buying it anyway, therefore I'm not really bothered either way. I'm even less bothered about your experiences of the place.
12Bet was the fans' fault. And the FA. And the council. And the kids who used the Airco. And Barmby and both Pearsons. As well as Nick Thompson and basically all the local media. Unethical, perhaps. But the Allams hands were tied.
I'm not one of the needy whiners who think their opinion matters so no, I didn't make a long rambling post complaining about them. I just didn't buy anything with them on. Posting a whiny rant about it online would achieve exactly **** all. I didn't say you'd bleated about flamingo land. I pointed out you just made up **** about me while ignoring people who would take ANY sponsor as long as the money was good. I'll assume that stance doesn't bother you as much as making up hillocks about what I do or don't do.
Stop been ****. Unlike you I'm able to say I don't agree with something while recognising other people have different views on gambling.
Yeah but you don't have to gamble. I do the lottery but the thought of losing loads of money gambling makes me say know straight away I don't think I've ever put more than £12 on a bet down the bookies
I'd put Flamingo Land above Twydale Turkeys, but below Pepis in the ropey City sponsors league, all of those being a step up from Cash Converters. I've no issue with a bookies, nor a drinks company, these companies only cause problems for those who abuse them.
Boro have a deal with Flamingo Land too, suppose we will get 2 4 1 tickets too http://mobile.mfc.co.uk//news/artic...o-flamingo-land-resort-yorkshire-2538306.aspx
