Just seen this - ''Only goalkeeper Joe Hart and French left-back Gael Clichy -- thanks to his formative years at Arsenal -- meet the definition of homegrown, so if City do not recruit any others they could have a senior squad of just 19 players next season. The only other homegrown players over 21 on their books are Micah Richards and the 37-year-old third-choice goalkeeper Richard Wright, who has never made a first-team appearance in his three years at the club.''

Bit in italics relevant bit.

Sold him <ok>

''City have already filled all 17 places for non-homegrown players in their 25-man Premier League squad, meaning that if they sign any more foreigners who do not qualify as homegrown, they will have to either sell or omit some from the squads they register for domestic and European competitions, thus rendering them ineligible.''

Yep, player who are not good enough like Jovetic, Nasri, Navas etc will be sold and replaced with the required quality <ok>

If they can sell them. With clubs knowing the have to sell could be some cheap fees and city paying wages to help shift then etc

Really? I'd say Suarez was complete opposite in personality to those two. Could you see him arguing the toss with the manager, I couldn't. He needed help for the biting issue but that was outside the managers remit I'd say.

I never said difficult to manage for the same reasons, I said at least equally difficult to manage.

Wages could be a major problem, especially with Nasri who was tempted by big money alone at a time when they had nothing else to offer.

Slightly unfair. When he joined city it was big money but it was also assured medals which arsenal didn't look like giving.

Nasri at least kept it professional.

City need 3/4 to make up numbers even.

I can't believe they didn't move on Clyne for example. Cheap, hg and saga is old and infirm.

Whilshire, Delph, sterling.... Delph is only one who makes sense to make up numbers

I would be so happy if this was to happen. I actually think he would be the perfect fit for our team. If we pulled this out the bag and got rid of Sterling then we've had a very good transfer window!

Almost the perfect window considering the adjustments we needed. Unfortunately I think Benteke is all but done, once Sterling goes he'll be straight in. I'm not too worried about Benteke as I think he'll do well here, but Lacazette would be far better for what we do.

I agree lacazette looks the perfect fit to rodgers.

Benteke is a unit and someone in that committee wants targets men.

I'd forget him if I were City and bid for Ramsey. far more talented player.

I just can't see Lacazette coming, apparently he wants champions league football, if he did sign I really think we'd have an excellent chance of a trophy and top 4.
