Of course it has. Where do you think all the academy players play! There's a reason Man UTD see fit to send players to Antwerp and not another European league. Just saying...
So if the quality of the International side determines the quality of the domestic league, does that mean the Welsh Premier League is top notch? Romania's?
Yeah right. FIFA world Rankings last updated 4th June 2015 1) Germany 2) Belgium 15) England 22) Wales
Gordon Bennett, we've got Bummers already to fill the "straight and humourless" role on here. No need for others to join in.
Here you are, this may be of some help. Remember Google is your friend. http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/27827569
They may in theory have moved to 10th. But in the latest published table (See below) they are 22nd. So let's use the official FIFA publication for arguments sake. http://www.fifa.com/fifa-world-ranking/ranking-table/men/
They're announced tomorrow. But the new top 10 has been widely reported. Fantastic timing for Wales, given the World Cup draw seeding they now get.
It's Wednesday today - they sit at 22nd. Regardless, have you read up on Belgium international football yet? All clubs at all levels play the same fluid 4-3-3 formation. That has been the foundation for creating the basis for the international team. So yes, the league in Belgium is pretty important. Just look at the household names now performing in better leagues around the world. England could learn a lot about what the Belgians did to improve international football.
That's stupid. Not allowing individual clubs to play to their individual strengths? No wonder they've produced such a one-dimensional senior side where they don't even have decent full backs.
Yes, really stupid. Look at the dearth of world class players they have now produced from a population of just 10.5 Million.
You're just talking **** now, where did I ever state that Akpom has been prolific? I haven't, what I said was... "He is thought highly of at Arsenal, and he is a different option to the other two players. As the videos show, he has some decent ability, and I would imagine him being 3rd or 4th choice for us if we did sign him, he would be good back up." Before we were linked with and signed Campbell, had you heard of him? Most probably not, that was the point I was trying to make by saying he was unknown and did nothing of note to impress anyone. Yes he did well out in Belgium's second division, but until he was linked with us you wouldn't of heard of him or known that he did so well out there. So if you could get off your high horse OLM, that would be great.
