Thing is, if you think about it rationally (I know, I know), it's likely that Toby would have been perfectly happy to have stayed, but then Spurs came along with a bit more dosh PLUS (and this is the big one) a bunch of his mates from his country were there and telling him to join. Hell, I'd be VERY surprised if the Belgian team boss didn't have a word with young Toby and say "hey, might be a decent plan to play with those boys leading up to the Euros".
If it's a close call (and we are close to them as a side, if not in terms of absolute power just yet) then those things will swing it, and they're absolutely fair enough. If you put yourselves in his position, 99% of us would likely end up at Spurs under those circumstances too.
No ill will, and it's madness to have any towards him. I'll applaud him heartily when he returns to St Mary's and wish him the best.
We just need to dust ourselves down, pick ourselves up and hopefully find someone even better!
