So, to summarise;
We don't yet know exactly what has happened.
None of us was there during whatever negotiations took place or conversations happened.
Yet some people are pretty sure that could have done better.
I love Not606. It's just so Not reasoned, Not logical and Not good for my nerves!

It's fairly obvious that the club have done all they can. If a player wants to choose a bigger club over us, then so be it.

Good job you don't read SaintsWeb then - bunch of nutcases over there.

nutcases being an understatement. Impossible to deal with some of the huge assumptions being made over there. Did no one learn from last summer what so ever?

I wouldn't say spurs were a bigger club than us. We are about on a par at the moment and getting better each year. If it wasn't for Spurs luck on unearthing Kane (quite by accident) last season then they would have finished below us. We are also better run and in my opinion have a brighter future. Maybe our progress won't continue as obviously next year but I wouldn't say spurs are bigger.

I dunno, bigger fanbase, better known worldwide, more commercial income, more regular european football... not really sure what you're basing this on?

I wouldn't say Spurs are much (if at all) ahead of us in terms of world recognition these days, can't find stats for fan base or commercial income but I wouldn't be surprised if there wasn't much in that either. You have to take into account we are the new boys and on the rise, that plays a part as well. Can't argue we are a better run club as well.

We'll agree to disagree <ok>

I'd say their wage packets are a lot bigger though. It's moneyball we're playing here.

Obviously a little disappointed, but anyone else feel relieved this is all over (at least about signing him, and not the compensation), and that we can move on to find a quality replacement.
