Well that's quite clearly nonsense. Ince has had four good season's in the Championship, I'd say Brady has had one. Brady has scored 8 goals in the Championship, Ince has scored 42, in roughly twice as many games. Pusic, Belaid and Fathi never looked like they were three of the best players in the Championship.
My point wasn't that Ince was bad (I'd have Brady over him any day though), just that we won't miss him because a) He never really played for us anyway (like my examples) and b) according to the last interview he gave before his loan spell ended at Derby, he never had any intention of staying with us. So I don't really think replacing him is going to be an issue, finding a player that's good enough to play in the Championship isn't nearly as difficult as finding one for the PL. If we're getting Gray from Brentford, could be worth enquiring about Jota, looks like the Koren type player we've been missing.
It all depends on a team's medical demands, we let Bullard pass one of ours remember. I agree it would be best for both parties but he could get a move without doing anything for us and many players have done just that. Diame was known for kicking up a fuss at West Ham, he did so often, he's not going to be a happy bunny playing in the second tier.
Ince has proven himself to be a far more effective player in this league than Brady. I suppose we didn't miss Diame when he got injured last season then either, seen as he never really played for us anyway... Most talented players have no intention of staying with us; that is the reality of things. Chester, Brady, Diame, N'Doye, Hernandez, Ben-Arfa, Ramirez, Campbell, heck, even Dean Marney, and I could go on, saw us as a mere stepping stone. That is the world of football. The only players who'd want to stay at Hull City are those who aren't good enough to play for someone better. It doesn't mean those players can't/couldn't help Hull City. It's not a question of finding someone that is good enough for the Championship, it's finding someone who is one of the best players in the Championship, because that's what Ince is. And if you think that's easy then you are very much mistaken.
did you see what time in the morning I posted that, I was more hammered than Brady, let me off this time ?
OMG, so much hissy fitting and worrying still going on over the lack of Hull City player news. No panic - all is under control. Relax ffs. So much great sport going on at the moment.
121 pages,,, are we close to signing anyone? Last player I heard about was Wilson who is probably off to Everton.
Nope. Just got back from Silverstone actually. Losing Ince is not that as he clearly does not want to play for anyone other than Derby. He needs to feel the love ffs. We dont need softies like that as we still have a couple we cannot shift. The best chance that both Jelavic and N'Doye have to get away is to be red hot hot in august and move on deadline day. Otherwise,...........
Personally. I just think that Elmo has improved ten fold and Rosy has barely kicked a ball all year. Elmos positoning isnt as goods but that's as much of an issue in the Champ but he offers so much more going forward. And on a separate point, the squad that initially got us was garbage in comparison to other promoted teams
I don't know why you're arguing that point, RB is clearly a defensive position. Just because it is defensive doesn't mean it can be used effectively in an attacking sense. Also, all those players you listed are both great defensively AND offensively. Elmo is only great offensively, and mediocre at best defensively.
That was going to be my point exactly. G Neville was saying a while back how the positions evolved. Rosywas good but certainly no world beater. P People appear to have heightened the ability of a few of the players which have left
Hallelujah, perhaps we can now forget all of the nonsense about selling and start looking at the reality of Allam's protracted ownership and his continued de-branding of the club and why we are selling players the manager does not want to sell (or release).
