If Bruce goes with 3-5-2 (which I think he will and I am not too upset about that) and if he switches to playing wingers and fullbacks, as he has done before, then there is every reason to keep Ince - as you pointed out, we have other players who fall into that category. We are not in the PL so I fail to see the relevance of his performances for us in that league, are they a waste of a wage too? I am far more interested in his more recent performance in the league we now find ourselves; the way Bruce played him and others in the PL did nothing for their cause. Why do you have to build a team around him, I find that a strange comment? You think him a ****er, you might be right, but what bearing does that have on his game?
I agree building a team around a certain player is a ridiculous thing to do. You build a system or style that players can fit into. Building a team around 1 single player is shafted if he gets a long term injury or leaves the club. It's a silly mentality in this country!!!
If you're going to turn down £5-6m for a player in the Championship, then he needs to be in your starting XI, if he's not going to be you might as well cash in(particularly if you think that player isn't good enough for the Premier League and this one absolutely isn't). It has no bearing on his game, I never suggested it did. Jimmy Bullard, good player, far more successful than Ince, good player to have around the club? Yes or no will suffice.
Not really.....i will have a great season watching Hull City who ever stays or leaves. And i do wonder with so many saying there not going to matches anymore why are they bothered who stays and who goes ?
You seriously think that fans who have supported the team for decades, but are currently boycotting, no longer give a **** about the club, how it performs, or who plays for them? How about people who can't afford to go, presumably they shouldn't be allowed an opinion either, as they're not turning up to watch? As Fez says, it's a ridiculous assertion.
I did t renew my pass, cos I ****ed up and missed the deadline. Now I can't post in here cos Filey said so. Sickener.
I dont understand why any one is boycotting the club because we are still Hull City. Even your not boycotting the club lammy man unless you have changed your mind. Boycotting.....and not being able to afford to go is two different things
Because it would be nice if on the Allams demise and my return, it would be nice to see my club in reasonable shape? Unlikely I know, but one can only hope. Hope you're keeping well Filey.
Im fine Kempton....thanks. Lets hope he ****s off then and everyone can keep going.....and prices come down. All the best Mr Kempton.. iv got to keep going Mr Kempton. Maybe lots of stuff doesnt bother me like they do others... My views are often flawed.i know that.. Even when we lose i am Happy and Smiling. Peace
I'm not boycotting, as you say, we're still Hull City and I expect us still to be Hull City after the full FA Council meeting a week today. Others are boycotting, partly due to the ongoing name change nonsense, partly due to price increases, partly due to seat moves, partly due to withholding the ASI money, partly due to the Airco debacle and many are simply boycotting home games due to the general contempt the Allams have shown them. That doesn't stop them being Hull City fans.
Thank you, I really couldn't be bothered to say all that...again. I find it amazing that we should have to.
I'm not convinced Ince is all that. The last time we were in the Championship, Aluko (when fit) also seemed to look like a future star. Ince did nothing for us or Palace, was absolutely ****e at Forest even though he was given game time, and had a "golden" few months at Derby which coincided with the team's overall performance demise. You're not telling me the same "career focused" Ince who turned down the opportunity to play for England U21, would also turn down a Premier League club in favour of Derby! Newcastle either didn't want him, or didn't think he was worth the fee that we were demanding. (The £5M clause was with Derby, not Newcastle so they would have to pay more) If we'd have originally signed Ince on a 5 year contract, then yes agreeing to inserting a £5M clause in his loan deal would have been madness. But to get £5M for a player who would only have a season left on his contract is good business. Come on Brucie, get James Wilson signed up.
If it s in reasonable shape then that would be completely down to the Allams. Would you be grateful to them then? For leaving the club in great shape? Not just leaving. But for the state of the club?
