Weller was **** tonight. I saw him in York only a couple of months ago and he was brilliant. Disappointing because the new album is ****ing class!

I thought he were decent. Not as good as York though.
I went to York anarl and he was on top form.

Nowt to be ashamed of, I went for a ruby on Saturday night and honestly thought I'd followed through after slipping out a SBV.
Too much Guinness.
Checked me kegs in the curry house and there was some mild wind smere, nowt to get over excited about.
End of the day, the public had paid their money to see him perform, and perform is what he shall do - regardless of piss incidents.
He is knocking 60 now and must have reduced most of his innards to liquid by this point, such has been his alcohol and speed intake over the decades.
No fuss, all rock n roll.
The fact he seemed to try to get a kiss off his wife (keyboardist) during the set, with his pissy pants, was classic MES. She seemed to politely decline.
Just a quick extra note, he took to the stage with his obligatory carrier bag and immediately called the sound man a ****.
I don't know what more people want. Honestly.

The Chemical Brothers looked to have passed some stuff over to some of the crowd but enjoyed the performance more than i thought i would.
Lionel Ritchie was better than i had thought he would be.
THE WHO were class as always. They have done better gigs but still more than good enough to end the festival. Every song a classic. FACT.

Honestly after watching the Who, they really should rethink this whole ageing former rock star performing thing, it's beyond embarrassing.
Daltrey has had his day and plenty of them, but he really shouldn't be still up at night. He couldn't sing, the others were shouting their vocals to cover up for him. He looked like some pissed up old boy warbling to himself in a lane way, complete parody of himself.
If you can't do it anymore you shouldn't be up there.

I don't think Weller can do the stadiums anymore, he seems more suited to smaller venues, he got rave reviews on his last tour, but it was a bit shouty for me, I don't think they can set the speakers up right for every band, maybe the singers get a lot of volume feedback so have to shout to try and be heard above the music, Daltry was suffering badly to be heard.
Yet Lionel Ritchie was suberb you could hear every word and it seemed effortless for him, and you could hear the crowd joining in.
Completely agree, to be honest The Who headlining seemed like a plan b, its very likely whoever they had lined up to headline pulled out and they stepped in.
Got back a couple of hours ago from Glasto. Some interesting comments on here regarding the bands. Lionel Ritchie certainly generated the largest crowd and had good interaction with the crowd. Spent a lot of time away from the main stages this year and saw some really good upcoming bands....Leon Bridges was especially impressive. Usual sprinkling of City flags.
From the highlights Suede looked pretty good.
