I'm surprised no clubs are trying to get Loftus-Cheek on loan, or even permanently, Really tall and light on his feet. Good on the ball. They loaned Courtois out for a few years, so I assume they would be happy to let Loftus-Cheek go out on loan for a while to help him develop.

Perhaps they watched the U21 games.

He only played 44 minutes in the tournament. One assist, 96% passing completion. He looked a different class altogether to Chalobah, Forster-Caskey and Carroll. He played an hour against Liverpool in the league and didn't give the ball away once in any manner. Southgate is a muppet for not starting him every game.

Apologies, I think I confused him with Chalobah then.

From what I've seen, the kid has potential. Would love to see him at saints.

That certainly explains your reply, as Chalobah looks like a championship level player at best at the moment. Loftus-Cheek is taller, much more of a presence, light on his feet, much better on the ball..better at everything in comparison basically <laugh>

I still don't know why Schneiderlin is only rated as 25 million and not, say, 30.

He only has two years left on his contract. For example, Lallana had an inflated fee as he signed a five year contract a year before leaving. But maybe you value Schneiderlin at 30 million regardless of that.

Just in comparison with other similar midfielders he seems under priced, especially as he counts as home grown.

Imbula to make his decision today.

"This is the drama of the summer side Olympique Marseille. Courted by FC Porto, Inter Milan or FC Valencia and Southampton, Giannelli Imbula should make its decision today according to La Provence. If the first two are taken action with leaders Marseille, an offer of Southampton today could finally convince the player.

But where will sign Giannelli Imbula? If it has not ruled out the idea of staying in the Olympique de Marseille, his departure seems inevitable when the club Phocaean has sold Dimitri Payet for 15 million euros and has yet to find cash before June 30 If Inter seems best placed on the case with a loan with an obligation to purchase 20 million euros, everything can still change.

Indeed, while FC Valencia has always preferred the former Guingamp, FC Porto was mixed again to dance yesterday by also offering a loan with automatic purchase option, but for 25 million euros this time. A significant amount that would a lot of good to cases of OM, and if Imbula slow to decide, it would seem that the answer can intervene quickly.

The daily La Provence ahead in his column that "a final decision should be taken today" on the transfer of a player who has cost about 7.5 million euros in Marseille two years ago. Having said no the first time at FC Porto before wait Inter Imbula could finally landing in Portugal but also in England, where Southampton prepare an offer similar to that of the Italian club"

Just a thought, we seem to be linked with quite a few midfielders but no centre backs?
If the rumour of Toby signing for Spurs is true I am surprised we have not really been linked with any centre backs.

You may have hit the nail on the head..."rumour"

I am convincing myself that the lack of CB links is is for the very reason that Toby is staying and we are just getting timing right. He went away with Belgium and then got married, so maybe we'll announce it when he returns.

Let's hope so.

I assume you meant Belgium.
