I refer as always on this topic to the ex-player mafia and the press bully tactics. Carragher, Barnes et al in particular. 'He's achieved nothing and should stay' - too right he's achieved nothing: that's why he wants to leave for a club who is actually going somewhere.
'He will ruin his career' - no he won't. Liverpool aren't the only team who can look after a player. They haven't nurtured him from a pre-teen, nor are they all he knows. Infact they poached him about five years ago in exactly the same manner. Yet he is apparently about to ruin his career by making a move, as no one can nurture youth like Liverpool can.

Players leave clubs within contract all the time - Saints should know, and so should Liverpool, as they are one way traffic in that direction on the whole. And there are no ex-Saints decreeing these players are throwing their career down the drain, when in reality it's more likely when going from smaller feeder club to top club. They mainly head - firmly within contract, remember - up the M1 or whichever road leads to Liverpool; but that's acceptable to those halfwit pundits, as that way lies footballing success.

He wants to leave the club. Conduct business behind closed doors, and we can be spared the baseless soothsaying, doommongering, and wise predictions from brave one-club warriors like Carra. I'm merely proffering a clenched fist in support for someone willing to go against the general flow.

Don't disagree with any of this other than I again don't see that Liverpool FC have done much wrong. I haven't seen or heard anything from the official club sources, and surely Liverpool cannot be held responsible for ex-player comments.

The amount required to signed those three can be just about recouped by selling Clyne and Schneiderlin. Their wages would be hefty, so we'll need to convince Elia that we can only pay him with a sandwich and a can of pepsi a day.

So, where is Schneiderlin actually off to? I will be depressed if it is Liverpool or Spurs.
Nowhere yet I think, as nobody has actually put a bid in for him. I'll be surprised if he doesn't go to a champions league club if he does stay in England, and will lose a fair amount of respect for him as a person if he goes to one of our Europa league rivals

I think Schneiderlin will go to United. Don't think Tottenham or Liverpool would meet our asking price. Wenger probably wants him also, but he's too penny pinching, otherwise he would have bought him already.
