Going by your Suarez argument, Stones is worth £3m because that's the only offer that has been made for him so far
He thinks Stones is worth more than or about the same as Sterling But he's also too cowardly to come out and say it directly so he hides behind vague statements like: Translation: Stones is worth more than £32m, Sterling is worth less than £35m
City put £40m down daft lad and imo that's OTT, but my opinion doesn't make a jot, same as yours doesn't Stones will be a top England CB for a decade plus, and that puts him in the £30m+ bracket imo. Whether anyone would pay that is another matter, but I think you'll find that my opinion is shared by Everton football club.
Disagree. Remember Chelsea had Fabregas & Matic in mdfield this season instead of the really protective but more defensive Ramires & Mikel partnership of last season. So that's irrelevant in my eyes. I'd be interested to hear what Chelsea fans have to say on the subject, I suspect they'd side with Courtois.
According to Tobes, after 2 seasons of achieving **** all Stones has increased his value by 11 (ELEVEN) times That's got to be some kind of record At this rate he'll be worth £50m next summer, and £100m by the end of his current contract **** knows how they get away with paying him just £30k/week, guess he's just blue through and through
I dunno, I've always felt Cech was overrated. Who misses quite a few stoppable shots and isn't as dominant as he was before his head injury (understandable). I think he's in the bracket underneath the top goalkeepers, and that's quite a big gap away from the top ones like De Gea, Courtois, Buffon etc.
You missed the part where Stones has done **** all whereas Sterling is regularly rated one of the best young players in the world
I don't think Stones is a £30m+ player but his value to Everton is close to that because they'd have to buy a centre half good enough to replace him for the next 10 years and they also lose a home-grown player. 10 years ago £10m for someone of Stones' ability would be ridiculous but with the way the market is at the moment and players like Sterling going for £50m & Shaw for £30m it doesn't really surprise me that we are talking about that much ££ for Stones. No wonder English players never go abroad because they are ****ing miles too overpriced for their ability.
Sterling has not gone for £50m. Good point in general though, the likes of Shaw have gone for way too much too early
Everyone knows English players are orverpriced.. it's not like it's news to anyone so don't know why it's always debated. If Stones was foreign, he'd be worth £5-£10m. If Sterling was then he'd be worth £15-£20m. But because they are English then they get over hyped and as they constitute HG then they get added value. Troy Deeney who has only ever scored goals in the Champ is being quoted as £15m! Would anyone spend £15m on a 2nd division Spanish striker? No chance...
