Blunderside saying we have given a new contract to Connor Townsend. Is he ready to step up to 1st team?

Ok so he's played for 5 clubs? No need up be so sensitive about it. Was probably a poor choice of word, what I meant was good solid but average player. Like I said, easily replaced and he clearly wants more money than we're prepared to pay him or they might be offering longer terms.

Either way he's done a job for us, he's looking after himself, neither side owes the other **** all other than best wishes.

There's no discord in the dressing room. There's no clash with the manager. It's not in the slightest bit dramatic at all. It's just good business for all concerned.

I really don't get all the fuss being created with Quinn? He reminds me of a jack Russell with a ball! He runs around and has a touch here & a touch there with no end product! he doesn't shoot! And I'm sure some stato can come up with how many assist he's got? (Stands back)

I think he got three assists last season, two corners and one very simple short pass to Diame at Newcastle who took the ball and smashed it into the top corner from about 50000 miles on his weak foot.

He's a left sided player and he isn't anywhere near as good/effective as Brady. Players like Quinn are pretty easy to replace, the fact he didn't cost much means we aren't losing a stack of money so it's not like his replacement has to be expensive.

He's decent at this level but not irreplaceable , there's a reason he didn't start much last season .

It looks like Quinn to Reading is definitely happening.

Regardless of what people think of his ability, it's disappointing that a player we obviously want to keep thinks he's better off elsewhere.

Yes disappointing that he feels Reading are a better bet than us - unless it comes down to ££££ and length of deal on the table?

Got a feeling his decision has something to do with McShane being let go, Reading are after Mcshane as well.

Quinn thinks Bruce is a prick like most the other players. Why would he work for a prick when he can go elsewhere?

Bruce is why McShane and Rosenior refused to stay on. Most the lads hate him.

Of most of our players I would say Quinn is well down the list of ones I would hope to keep.

Has the odd decent game but generally a non entity.

If he wants to go then no big drama.

'Cheers for your efforts ginge', quick shake of the hand and move on.

    Nowt to it.

Agree with the comments about not being too fussed at Quinn going. Decent player but doesn't actually offer that much, unsure of his best position either which tells a story. Unsure of where Meyler fits either for that matter. Both industrious but, well.., meh!

Looking forward to seeing a new spine within the team if Thudd goes too.

I'd sooner keep Meyler than Quinn, Quinn is far more consistent and you know what you're going to get but he doesn't do much, Meyler can at least hve a stormer every once in awhile and get you a goal or two or give away a goal or two. Keeps things interesting.

Bruce never liked Quinn much, it took ages before he finally kept him in the team, lots of people who gave inferior effort had been put ahead of him.

I'd say the most likely to stay is Elmo, he probably worships Bruce as he's the first name on the team sheet.
