If that is true then it puts more meat on the bones of the rumour. When Le Boss gets involved then it should be on!
The bit about Wenger meeting him comes from the same source, which is respected Italian journalist Gianluca di Marzio, who presumably has a interest as both Milan clubs are reportedly after Kondogbia too. All the papers are picking up on this story now.
Arsenal's Jack Wilshere next transfer target as Liverpool reject new Man City bid for Raheem Sterling Jack Wilshere will become Manchester City’s next English transfer target. Deposed champions City are expected to make an initial £30million move for Arsenal midfielder Wilshere. That comes after a £40m bid for Liverpool’s Raheem Sterling was rejected late on Wednesday. While City consider whether to raise their bid - which included £5m in add-ons - for the 20-year-old a second time, they will turn their attention to Wilshere. IF this is hypothetically true, how much, if you were willing, to sell Wilshere for? £40m, £50m.....We know that City have deep pockets and we have an abundance of midfielders, would you take the money and buy someone else, or keep him? Makes for an interesting debate.
No way we should sell him, unless it's for something silly like £50m+, but it's a crazy deal for Citey as well, I know they need English qualified players and/or Prem trained players, but Wilshere needs time to recover from his injury problems, and is he going to get that in a team that buys players at a drop of a hat and has Toure and the Fernando brothers and Nasri, among others already in midfield. He is going to get a lot better as he strengthens and gets over his injuries, and we'd be fools to allow one of our rivals to benefit from his talent.
It is an interesting debate. He has the talent but has only shown it in short bursts. A lot of this is down to his injuries but again, how bad are his injuries and will it prevent him from having a long run in our team? We all know that City are willing to bid way above the normal price and i wouldn't be surprised if they bid up to £50m for him. We also have to bear in mind that English players get routinely over hyped and at the moment, Wilshere is the golden child of English football but has yet to show this supposed talent on the big stage. Do I want to sell him? No. But it's hard to ignore a huge bid, a bid that would allow Wenger to bring in a better replacement as we've done with Ozil and Sanchez. Do we stick or twist?
I wouldn't sell Wilshere however much Citeh offered. We've gone through enough seasons where we had to sell our best players and now we don't have to do it anymore.
I also feel that if we did sell a very good player like Wilshere, particularly one with potential, then we shouldn't sell to one of our direct rivals.
Apparently Ospina is gonna move to Fernebahce for £4M. If this means Cech is coming in, then perfect. I like Szczesny. Working with Cech could do him a lot of good.
F*ck Citeh, let's keep hold of our talented English players and make them resort to the likes of Delph, Mason and Ings.
